i wanted to know what some of you think .My name on my birth certificate is kimberly rogers but my moms name last collings and father unknown what does this mean i don't understand

I have thought about that myself I just don't want to hurt people .I was thinking of speaking at women shelters or hold my own meeting in a church or something like that

Kimberly I'm really sorry you're going through this, I'm sure it's not easy knowing that the person you should be able to trust the most has lied to you your whole life. You should use your experience to help moms understand the long term damage they do to their children by not telling them from the beginning.

That is a hard thing to deal with. I don't blame you. It only teaches you to be honest with your kids. You may never find out the truth, and your mother may be to ashamed to tell you. Whatever reason she has for not being honest, she probably feels like she is doing the right thing and protecting you...and herself. I don't blame you for feeling that way though. Most people would.

it's very hard at times because I believed the man that raised me was my father and wasn't .and I feel abandoned not knowing who iam I should be able to let it go but it's hard it's like iam a dirty little secret

she told me she made up my last name because she was a runaway from a reform school in Ontario .had to fudge mylast name so I wouldn't be taken away.she wont tell me the truth first she told me she was raped by a truck driver than he was a Vietnam vet than she had some other horrible stories

You should probably ask your mom why your last name is different, I'm sure she didn't just make one up to give to you.
