Im 26 weeks and getting sharp pulling pains...

Its not painfull, more uncomfortable.

I have them at either side of my bump close to my groin.



Im only asking because it's different to the period type pains i have had in the past. But my bump has only just "popped" as you would say. So i'm just wondering if its the normal muscle streching thats causing it.



Also... Just out of curiosity, My baby was moving for 2 hours STRAIGHT last night, how often do you feel your little ones move?

yes i have been getting that too mostly when i'm walking around my doctor said it was my ligaments stretching and it should go away..

I am also 26 weeks and have been having similar pains. I asked the doctor a few weeks ago and she said it was normal. Probably from all the streaching and pulling, Just add it to the list of fun things we get to experience while being pregnant. lol Also I saw you wrote how active he is and that too could be a cause of the aches. Doctor said mine was just dancing all over me inside and it was no wonder I was sore lots. I also have a very active one. I had to have 2 ultrasounds at 20 weeks because he wouldn't sit still for any of the pics or measurements. They put him on the monitor in the hospital and they could keep it on him he was so active. Atleast we know we have healthy active babies growing. Good luck

The pain you're having sounds like round ligament pain. As your uterus grows, the ligaments that anchor it in place are stretched. I had this a lot...annoying, but nothing to worry about.

I think its normal, this is my 2nd pregnancy and Im 26 weeks also. I get the pains as well, Ive also had braxton hicks. You have a very active lil one in there, mine is active too but not that active.

I have 3 kids and on my first pregnancy felt lots of aches and pains as the muscles stretched. This sounds the likeliest thing, especially as your baby is moving so much so it's obviously ok! All my babies moved loads, especially during the evening although it was the time i was resting/sitting still so was probably more aware of the movement at that time. Used to drive me mad when i was trying to go to sleep though hehe.

As long as the pains aren't too sharp/ stabbing pains or you are getting bleeding my opinion is you are experiencing normal stretching.
