I would avoid induction whether by home methods or hospital as it is the fastest route to an unneeded c-section which carries risks for you and your child. You really need to just stick it out for the sake of yourself and your child.

I have a question it is not about being induced, but rather to help with vomiting. I have been in the hospital 3 times now, I am on sophran patches (2 of them at a time), zophran and compazine. They have diagnosed me with hyperemiss excessive vomiting. I will vomit 5 times a day pretty much everyday. liquids don't stay down and just the sight of certain foods. I have tried eating ginger root with my meals along with the meds and lemons. Is there anything else??? I will try anything that is not harmful to the baby.

Once I was within a 'safe' distance of my due date I was given the all clear to try whatever I wanted to bring on labour. One route I tried was accupuncture, which apparently can be quite effective. It ended up being sex that broke my waters though. Good luck with your delivery. I hope you feel better soon.

One good method... Pray and ask God to Take care of u and ur Baby. Most of all believe in ur Prayer To Him.

Check out herbs. I used a variety of herbs during different stages of my 7 pregnancies the two I used the most were Red Raspberry Leaf Tea (find the capsules then you can take them in large amounts with water to meet your water intake) it helps to make the muscles in the birthing area more elastic which makes birthing easier. Also, I used Black Cohosh it encourages your body to be ready when the baby is. None of my children were ever late and they ranged in early from 2 weeks to the day before projected due date.

Good luck. I know how painful gallstones are and the drugs they have you on can do more damage to the baby then the induction so I don't understand what they are thinking.

The best thing that i have heard of is to get a pedicure. This will help relax you and the massaging of the feet and ankles can start contractions.

Nope, I'm sad to say you need to just wait. There is no good method to induce labor yourself and trying might endanger yourself or the baby. I'm sorry to hear you're in pain but it will all be over soon. Hang in there!

Nothing and I mean NOTHING is safe for self induction. You could try to walk it out or eat some spicy food, but other than that, I wouldn't chance it.
