iron rich foods

My little boy is 1 on the 11th june and i have just switched to cows milk, which he loves, he is getting enough daily and plenty of calcium but am worrid about getting enough iron into his diet, he will eat pretty much anything so any suggestions?

Hee hee my little boy loves salad, i'll get him fresh spinach he can munch on that, sausage's he loves too, thanks guys x

spinach is a good source of iron and can be eaten cooked or as a salad!! Most green vegetables have high iron levels!! Also check breakfast cereal packets some of those also contain iron! I agree with melissa you could buy suppliments but it may give him constipation its best to try and give him iron via his food!! Good luck

you can get something from the pharmacy im pretty sure, things that you can put in the bottle vitamins that have iron in them. but iron causes constipation as well so thats why i didnt buy those vitamins for my little one cause shes prone to it. my partner said what about meat? does he eat meat if you cut say a sausage in half or some steak. my daughters dietitian said for us to give her those things...
