My daughter is pregnant and she has been having headaches too....Some days worse than others. She is 14 weeks pregnant! After reading these posting I am going to say they must be normal since they seem common. Hopefully they will go away soon.

You could have pre-clampsia,which can be very bad/dangerous for you and baby! You need to see Dr. ASAP! You could have seizures with this,it also usually is associated with high blood pressure! Good Luck...

what is pre-clampsi?

preclampsia is were you have high blood pressure, protein in your urine and other symptoms has headaches seeing spots&swelling etc it can be fatal if not treated.check it up and have a read its important to no.as i say i didn't realise i had it or the docs.it was mild and went undetected.but i did have protein twice in my urine that the said was normal.no harm in getting the headaches checked.more than likely your just fine and its the usual headaches.also some of the symptoms might not be present in some moms my blood pressure was fine through out.

I googled it and it sounds scary so as soon as my doctors office open today I'm gonna give them a call...THank you so much and thank you everyone.

I agree with the previous posts that recommended going to see your doctor. Even if your headaches are caused by nothing serious its always better to be safe than sorry. I had pre-eclampsia and it wasn't until a couple of months after giving birth that my husband informed me of how serious this was and how close to losing me and our son he was. But as previously stated by other members with pre-eclampsia the headache is usually acompanied by swelling that won't go down, spots in vision and a high blood pressure. Your head aches may be down to dehydration or tiredness or even just how your body is dealing with the change in hormones. Good luck with your pregnancy and I hope you get to the bottom of your problem sooner rather than later x x x x

I had migraine headaches all throughout my pregnancy and even after i had my little girl. I had migraines up until she was 7 months old. She is 8 months old now and i occasionally have them now. When i was pregnant i had blood pressure problems and at the end of my pregnancy i got preeclampsia, so that might be a reason if you have any of those problems. You might wanna drink caffeine in the mornings, it will help especially if you usually drink caffeine.

I had a lot of bad headaches at the beginning of my pregnancy, my doctor told me it was probably just related to my blood pressure. Definitely something to watch and let your doc know about. Hope they go away!

I had migraines for the first few months of being pregnant.....could stand light or even the sound of the tv. One late night though my bf convinced me to go with him out to get something to eat. Our waitress saw I was in pain and the light was killing me so she asked if I had a migraine...I said yes and she told me a good thing for migraines is hot chocolate..something to do with the caffeine.....OMG it worked just get it as hot as you cant stand and sip it....not gulp it. From then on when I had a headache I just made me a cup of hot chocolate and it went away. Hope it helps ya cause my migraines were so bad it made me sick.

yes i had headaches all the time during my pregnancy... im not much for medicine so my doctor told me that it would be ok to soak in a nice luke warm epsom salt bath for a little while and just relax and get away from all the commotion i hope this has been helpful to your situation

A big NO! it doesn't mean i didn't get one- i did to the extend that i had to tilth my heard to a certain direction to feel less pain just like with a satlite dish looking for better signal. But funny enough when i put on my eye glasses it also helps......but nothing does it better than a pain killer and rest.

It's normal to have some headaches during pregnancy due to the changes that occur in during pregnancy. However, severe headaches accompanied by swelling and/or seeing spots can also be symptoms of pregnancy induced hypertension or preclampsia which if left untreated can be fatal to mother and/or baby. I advise you to speak with your doctor so he can monitor your symptoms.

i agree 100% with this post.i lost alot of weight during my preg and gained it very slowly and i had headaches that i put off.on my c-section the realised after i had odema/swelling i thought i was just putting my weight on.so plz get it checked.i didn't see spots but had protein in my wee but the found nothing. i started cloting while in hospital after the kept me in 3days due to her not moving well.but the cloths behind my placenta was due to mild undetected odema.im not trying to worry you.this can be normal so tlk too your doc:)good luck.

Personally, I have migraines and when I was pregnant I never had a headache so I think it is all related to hormones and completely normal. Just a bummer you really cant take anything...hope it gets better.

Normal as long as you dont have swelling on both legs/feet, proteins in your urine or abnormal kidney fuction tests and slight confusion

I had a headache almost every day of my second pregnancy. I've had other moms tell me the same thing. I used a warm compress and rested on the couch until it passed. Hope that helps!

yes, that was the only symptom I had during my two pregnacies. My doctor told me to take two tylenol regular, not extra strenght every 4-6 hour. For me also helped lay down for an hour or two after taking the pills.

I was told that if the headache is aross the top of your head then you are dehydrated. I was getting dehydrated headaches even though I thought I was drinking lots of water already, but more water did make them go away. Some people get headaches because your blood pressure is higher when you are pregnant. Maybe check with the doc at your next checkup just in case.

I had a headache every single day of my 4th month, with all 3 of my pregnancies, and once I was 5 months they went away and I never had another one. I think maybe we go through some major hormonal changes around that time?
