Is it better to have a full or an empty stomach when going for an ultrasound?

im going for a 4d ultrasound today and i was wondering if its better to have a full or empty stomach!!! Please help ASAP!!

I think the full bladder depends on how far along you are.....I never needed a full bladder for my 18 week scan. But I never had a 4D scan....4D??? wow. It was all 2D when I had my kids, LOL.

I don't know if it matters that much but When I went in for my Ultrasound they made me empty my bladder first!

it doesn't matter about your stomach being full or empty, but i was told to have a full bladder...yikes! when i went for a 4d they told me to have sugar so the baby would move (my 4d was not for medical purposes) but i found that the pics didn't come out clear when baby was hyped up on sugar.

I doubt it matters as long as you follow their prep guidlines for drinking fluids.
