has anyones children ever layed down a dall and actually kneeled down and atempted to stick there finger in there privet area? my lil girl has been doing that and waking up screaming in the middle of the night wanting to sleep with me and she is very clingy i just got back from a 3 week vacay. and my children were with a sitter so idk if this is normal or if something may have happend please give me some opinons

My daughter does touch herself, in normal exploration. She also gets very clingy and upset after leaving her for even one night with my sister where I know she is having tons of fun with her cousins and brother. Sometimes they just freak out when mom is gone. But I would take her to the doctor and ask your family about her behavior while you were gone.

It 'could' all be perfectly normal exploration plus separation anxiety for you being gone for so long. Separate... both could be totally normal. Together... I think I'd get it checked out just in case.

i understand sometimes people need to be judged i feel really bad i had an opertunity to go on my hunnymoon and now i feel selfish :/ thank you though for all your comments

This all may just be natural exploration of your daughter to her own body, and her being upset that you were gone for so long, but you can never be to careful. Also, I am really trying not to judge you for leaving her for such a long time.

You may want to ask them if anything odd happened while they were with your children, or if their behavior changed during that time.

i left them with my sister witch was a mistake from the start b/c shes always got people in and out of the house :/ but my mom had them for 2 in a half weeks and my sister had them for 3 days i trusted my sister to keep a really good eye on them...:( my lil girl is 2 years and 4 months

I agree with Shawnn. Who did you leave your kids with that you would trust for almost a month with your babies? You need to see a doctor for her. I hope you did a background check on the person you left in your childrens care.

Ok, Molly, I'm going to say (depending on age here...)no it's not normal.
When you left, who did you leave the kids with?
How old are the kids, how old was the sitter?
Did you verify the sitter's credentials?
Are any of the rest of your children exhibiting similar symptoms (night terrors, unusually sexually oriented behaviour)?
I'd recommend you have the little one checked out by a physician, explain what's going on, ask for a comprehensive exam (including possible penetration) and see what they say.
