He has his bath at about 11pm and I give him a good feeding after, usually takes about a 30 min. to an hour. He wont fuss to much through the night he might wake up for a few minutes but goes right back to sleep. We get up about 9. Is it ok to let him sleep that long with out feeding? Should I wake him up, he is only 2 months.

Some babies do sleep through the night early on. The Dr. told me that a baby won't let himself go hungry so not to worry about it. None of mine slept through the night until they were a year old so consider yourself lucky! This may just be a phase he is going through!! Sleeping patterns can change in a baby from month to month. And if he is going through a growth spurt it is even more common for them to sleep more!! Enjoy your rest!!

u have got it easy... my lil boy started sleepin throu the night at 3 weeks and still an angel now, just be happy u got a gd one, i no mums who are still pullin there hair out at there 2yr olds that dnt sleep throu

Never wake a sleeping baby!! My daughter has slept about 10-12 hrs a night since she was about 3 months old! Enjoy!

I would let him sleep. If he is hungry he will wake up. I have 4 children and almost all of them were sleeping through the night by 8 or 9 weeks old. There were some nights that they woke up in the night but for the most part they slept through. Count your blessings that is wonderful!

My slept through the night at 5 weeks.. sometimes up to 14 hours....it scared me at first, but let them sleep........(he's 14 years old now)

Be thankful.
Mine also slept through the night starting at 6 weeks. All 5 grew up healthy and normal. They will wake up and eat, if there are no other problems like low birth weight or premie.

Yes it's normal any child that is hungry will let you know, my son was sleeping through at 3 weeks old, and my daughter who is ten week's old has been sleeping through since she was 4 week's old. She will have her last feed at 10pm and wakes up between 7 & 8 am. While there sleeping they are thriving.

Enjoy! By 2 mos he will wake up if he's hungry. My son slept though the night from about 2-4 mos then growth spurt and needed to night nurse again he's gone through phases. At almost 2 he still nurses a couple times a day but no longer wakes up to nurse. So no worries about this being an indicator that he might wean prematurely.

My daughter did as well, also she stopped using her pacifier at that time too. She turned out to be a very good baby, she never cried for anything. I never knew she was teething til I found two bottom teeth in her mouth.

God I wish mine was sleeping through the night by then. Not normal but not rare, and defientially not bad.

You are blessed like I was with both my girls as long as the dr says its okay and he is not underweight. Let him sleep their patterns continue to change.

Count your blessings. I wish my little one would have slept through the night at that age. As long as he is growing accordingly, as recommended by your pediatrician, then I'm sure he's fine. He will wake up when he's hungry.

I agree, if he sleeps, dont wake him. My son has slept through the night since the night he was born. Be very grateful cuz a lot of people don't get that lucky. So your very lucky that he is sleeping.

three of my babies slept threw the night by the second week. Don't create worries when we have so much already. Enjoy it while it lasts. If his weight gain is off then worry.

It ok babys need lots of sleep so them sleeping through the night is good for you.. When they wake then feed and they eat more that first feeding of the day but that is normal.. My daughter sleeps all night most of the time but here lately we are teething

Don't knock it! My daughter is nearly two and a half and has slept through a total of 5 times ever! grab the sleep while you can, if he's hungry he'll wake up! x

If your baby is sleeping through the night consider it a blessing. My 15 week old daughter has been sleeping all night since she was 6 weeks old. She gained weight just fine even though she was not feeding through the night.

NO! Dont wake him up in the middle of the night. Let him sleep. My two boys were sleeping throug the night at a month old. Be grateful you have such a good little sleeper! If he gets hungry in the middle of the night he will wake up on his own. You obviously are doing things right that he sleeps through the night. Keep up the good work!

my son started sleeping from 10pm - 6am by 5 weeks and now at 4 months he sleeps through from 8 30pm - 6 45am...if he was hungry and needed to eat through the night he would definately be up letting you know. as long as he's gaining weight and happy i wouldn't worry about it...you're lucky! :) enjoy

My daughter slept through the night from the time she was 5 weeks old, slept for about 12 hours every night. Now she is 4.5 and is still a fantastic sleeper, been very lucky. I wouldnt worry at all, if he is hungry he will certainly wake up to let you know about it!

My daughter who is now 3 months old was sleeping through the night when she was about 3 weeks.....she would go to sleep at like 11 or 12 and wake up at about 8.....don't worry feel lucky!

My first baby slept through the night for at least 10 hrs from being 3 days old and my second from being 3 weeks old. I never would wake a baby at night seems a crazy idea to me - get your sleep if they are hungry they will let you know. The more you play with them and the more they feed in the day the longer they will sleep at night, and because they are used to sleeping, when they get old enough to realise that when they cry you come running, you know that they can sleep through the night so your less inclined to indulge them

That's fine-you're really lucky!
I wouldn't wake him up for a feed unless you've been told to for medical reasons.
My son slept through the night from 7-7 from 2 months and i def didn't complain :-)

If you have them on a regular feeding schedule, they will sleep through the night early on. My two daughters slept through the night by one month.

Yes it is normal. My son slept thru the night as well. Babies will wake you up if they are hungry or need something. So enjoy your sleep.

Yes, that is fine. I did the same thing as you. I mistakenly told my Dr. that my daughter was sleeping 7hrs straight at almost 6wks. He said no, you need to wake her up for feeding every 2hrs. No. At the time she was 12lbs and very healthy. I didn't listen, used my instincts instead, and she was completely fine.

My Daughter is sleeping 8-9hrs a night and she is only 3 weeks.I talked to her Doctor and he said as long as she continues to gain weight there is no need to wake her.

yes it's normal i brest feed my youngest boy but they both slept all through the night and would wake up between 5 and 6 for a feeding you should be grateful that your child does sleep all through the night most parents aren't that lucky so be thankful !!!!!!

As long as he's keeping up his weight and eating well at all feedings.It is rare for an infant that young to sleep thru the nite.

Yea, be very thankful for what you have.. My 2 month old son doesn't want to sleep without me, and if I try and put him in his bed he flips out and is up crying. I wish he would just sleep through but my sons doctor says it's normal..

All four of my kids were sleeping through the night by 8w. I've noticed that they tend to nurse more frequently in the evening, so I figure they get filled up for the night that way. Count your blessings! :)

It's normal both my kids were like that.. I don't feed them unless they wake up by their selves wanting to eat. Which he might do when he gets a little older.

Babies are all different!! My daughter slept through the night from 5 weeks...I couldn't believe it! I would get up several times to check on her!! She was fine! You are just a lucky mom : ) Enjoy your rest!!

my responce to this is if he gets hungry he will let you know.. let him sleep as long as he will. They usually start sleeping through the night about this age. mine did at 2 and half months. so he is fine and when he gets hungry you will know. enjoy the rest.

Personally my little boy slept throught the night at 2 months old. My doctor and I started to notice he stopped gaining weight for a few weeks during his weekly visits. She suggested I wake him every 3 hour on the clock and feed him and also offer a bottle after feedings to see if he would take it ( thinking he was not getting enough milk from me) I did try to give him the bottle but he absolutly refused to drink it, but I found just waking him up was enough for him to boost a few pounds over the 2 week "test". So My opinion is: if he is happy and ganing weight then let him sleep. If you notice weigh loss or not gaining any or you find him more cranky/fussy during the day, then i suggest waking him up at least once. :) Best of luck to you

It's fine. Both of our kids slept through the night from the time they were 6 weeks old.
