Is it normal to have very strange dreams while pregnant?

I have the wierdest dreams now. Some are about pre-pregnancy others life after pregnancy? Is this normal?

My dreams were so weird, I could hardly explain them after I woke up. Something about a lion and a little boy with red curly hair...

It is very common. It is usually put down to a combination of all the extra hormones your body is producing and the anxiety, excitement, anticipation etc of having a baby. Very violent dreams are also common, as are very sad dreams - these are usually at times when hormone levels are very high.

Yes very normal! I kept dreaming that I'm on a beach hit by a tsunami!! Weird! After that I stopped listening to the Ocean Scapes CD which I'd usually listen to while meditating.

yes, i kept having the same weird dream that i had given birth to kittens, it was really weird lol

Yes i had wierd dreams whilst i was pregnant..dont worry about it..they stop after birth :) x

Yes, yes, yes, yes. I had REALLY freaky dreams when I was pregnant. I honestly can't remember what they were about (it's been a long while), but they were extremely vivid.
