We just found out that we are pregnant again! I already have a 4 year old little girl. We didn't have enough room in our small home to keep all of her baby stuff that kept accumulating, so I had to sell most of it. Since then, we have moved into a large home, but still lack all of our baby stuff! Times are tough I think for everyone, and I'm not sure it will be appropriate for us to have another baby shower, but at the same time, we almost can't afford not to. I still have all of the larger furniture, we just need the swing, highchair, clothes, bottles, ect. I dont want ot be rude by asking people to attend a second baby shower, but I dont want to struggle trying to purchase all of this stuff AGAIN.

YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY BABY SHOWERS AS YOU WANT. ESPECIALLY IF YOU STILL NEED THINGS. GO FOR IT GIRL

Of course! I just didn't because I was too big this time around and my feet were to swole up to be standing around pretending that I wanted to party when all I wanted to do was eat and get in my bed to watch a good movie!! I just told all my friends and family to put it on a Wal-Mart gift card and I would be happy with that. But if you do have one enjoy it and have fun!!

I think the reason a lot of women wonder if it's ok to have a baby shower for each baby is because in previous generations it was not considered proper etiquette. Things like co-ed showers are also still given a raised eyebrow and a "Huh?". We had a co-ed shower and it was like pulling teeth to get men to show up! I think that it's perfectly fine to have a shower for each baby that a woman has. Each baby is special and unique and deserving of the celebration of his/her life! That's what a baby shower is all about right? I mean, yes, the gifts are nice, but it's having your friends and loved ones gathered together to celebrate a new life and I say go for it! Same sex as the first one or not!

Absolutely it is ok. Alot of people think a shower is for the mom to be and not for the new baby, but let me tell you, I had 2 showers for my first (a boy) and he got SO MANY nice things. Then I had a girl with no shower and she didn't get alot of the things we would of liked for her to have, so alot of little boy things were handed down to her. Just because it is not your first shouldn't mean that people are not just as excited.

Jessica,

Is this a new baby??? Then No it's not wrong to have a baby shower!!! I'm confused on why some women would think that it is wrong to have a baby shower for all of your children!!! Even if you have every thing for the baby there are still things that are needed for a new baby like Dipers, Wipes, clothes if your not having the same sex as your first..Don't worry about it just do it and enjoy it. If You don't want to call it a baby shower call it a celebration of life!!! Good Luck and congrats on the new baby!!!
