it is ok for most kids to get a bath every night, but really unnecessary. babies dont really get very dirty so every other night is plenty. but if her skin handles it then there is no reason it cant be part of your nightly routine. have fun.

I always bathed my daughter every night until recently my doc told me it can take all the oils and goodness out of a childs skin and leave them with dry skin so I now bath her every second night

When my son was first born, he received a bath every day. I continued to give him a bath everyday unless it was during the winter months. If it was during the winter, I gave him one everyother day so his skin wouldn't dry out! As he is getting older, I still do one every night before bedtime. That is my routine to settle him down a half hr before bed.

I bath my 3 month old son every night. We have been doing this as a part of his bedtime ritual and he loves it...so do I!

I believe it's fine. Ever since my daughter came home from the hospital I bathe her every day. I heard its better to bathe them at night so they can sleep better.

My little girl is three months old and i only recently have been bathing her every night i think it helps her settle down for bedtime and due to this she sleeps through the night two nights in a row so far :) Hoping for another sleep through the night fingers crossed .. "x

I think it depends on their skin type. My boys have very dry, irritable skin. Bathing too much really makes it worse. The doctor actually suggested I try to keep it to 1-2x a week unless they are really dirty. My girl has oily skin and is prone to acne and cradle cap. I find that bathing her everyday really helps.

It just depends on how old your baby is. As far as a newborn, I don't think that its necessary to put them in an actual bath every night because of skin irritation, but it doesn't hurt to give them a sponge bath. I give my baby a bath every night because it helps prepare her for bed. She's 14 months old now and I've been doing that since she was about 3 months old.

I gave my son a bath 3-4 time a week, until he was about 2-3 months old. Now he gets a bath every night, right before he goes to sleep!
