Hi. My daughter is 4 months old. Pretty much since she was born (minus 2 weeks when I tried to Breastfeed) she's been fed on Sma Gold. She always brought up quite a bit of each feed, but the Health Visitor didn't seem concerned.
Until about a month ago when she was admitted to Hospital as an Emergency because she lost 120z in 2 weeks. They checked her over, monitored her feeds to see if she bought any up, which she did, and the next day they discharged her and told us to change her feeds to 3 lots of 120ml (4fl oz) during the day, 1 lot of 90ml (3fl oz) before bed and 1 lot of 150ml (5fl oz) as a Dream Feed. They also said to start feeding her Sma Stay Down, which is meant to be easier to digest and settle in the stomach better, so as it can't be bought back up. She wasn't happy on those feeds, still hungry and still bringing up the feeds. So I talked to the Health Visitor and she said to put them all up to 150ml (5fl oz), but she was still hungry and still bringing up the majority of her feeds. So, I spoke to the Health Visitor again and she said to put her feeds up again to 180ml (6fl oz), which I have done.
Now I'm starting to wonder if I should be asking the Health Visitor about her feeds, because she doesn't seem to be paying attention to the fact that my daughter's bringing up her feeds, no matter what I feed her.
Plus, I'm wondering if I should change her Formula to Cow and Gate, in case the Sma is too rich for her. Because I've heard of many babies that can't handle Sma because it's too rich.
Has anyone had this kind of problem with Formula?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
