My 5 month old daughter has excema and the redness comes and goes but she still itches. She itches at night and wakes herself up and itches during the day and sometimes cries about it. Is there anything to stop the itching? We already use lotions zyrtec and hydrocortisone.

eucerin and lubriderm are both great but i think you may need to look into the bedding materials and check out all of the detergents too. some children seem bothered by certain fabrics and dyes. My kids both had excema on and off my daughter still does but it almost lways eases up with lotion and detergent analysis. Good Luck

hi, try aquaphor when she has a bad flare up and look into lotion by arbonne. they have a great baby care line. to help get rid of the excema work from the inside out and add a little flax seed oil to her diet. you can mix it into her cereal if she is on solids. this worked wonders for my friend's son whose excema cleared up right away.

After trying so many things, my dermatologist finally said to rub Vaseline on it. Unlike lotions, it acts as a barrier from the air. It works for my daughter, and it's all we use now. Aveeno makes a nice oatmeal bath that we use at each bathtime when her eczema is bad. It calms the eczema, and then we apply the Vaseline.

My 18 month has had excema for almost a year. It has cleared up considerably since I cut out the cow's milk and yoghurt from her diet. She still itches a little but Aveeno or almond butter moisturizers help.

My 3 yr old and 5 month old have excema and I use Eucerine calming creme. It really helps with the itching.

You may want to try Aveeno or Cetaphil lotion. They are both gentle and absorb quickly. And no smelly fragrance.
