I am having my Paragard removed next week and I was wondering what I should expect. The insertion was awful - pain, cramping, and bleeding for several days following the procedure. Any comments from other mummas who have had this done??

Having your IUD is nothing compared to the insertion--it is super easy, so don't worry.

I had the paragard too and the only slight discomfort is when they are preparing to remove it, but it's really quick and not bad. I thought it would hurt too, since insertion was painful but you can't even feel when they pull it out and then it's done. I've even known someone who pulled it out themselves because the arms collapse immediately after grasping the thread, but the thread is usually too short to do it this way.

When they removed my marina there was a big Cramp but then it was over. I spotted for a few days and then started my period about two weeks later it was light and spotty for a few months but like clock work then after about three months I began to have regular periods
