If you want something that they will get many hours of usage from when they are slightly older then invest in a play kitchen. Your two year old will be able to play with it but your one year old will have a bit of a problem, but she could still play with the plastic food.

I was also thinking a play kitchen. Both of my boys absolutely love theirs. Also maybe a swing set, or for girls a big doll house.

For my son's 1st birthday, he got a Step 2 Kangaroo climber and he played with it easily until age 4. At his 2nd birthday, it was the Step 2 Lifetime Play Kitchen. Same thing, sooooo much use out of it!

It really depends on how much you are wanting to spend....They have games like V- motion that kids there age can play. It teaches them numbers letters etc.

I'll just chime in that a kids' trampoline (with a grab bar) or a wiggle tunnel is fun. My girls (1 and 3) like those on rainy days. They love their play kitchen too. They also both play with their coloring easel.

I think a playhouse would be wonderful for them, or a tent - something they can go in and out of at these ages would be perfect! they are so active all of the time, this would give them something to interact with also grow into. The doll house idea is good too as well as a swing set! I also know my kids liked having a sandbox in the backyard and a small swimming pool. Good luck on your quest to find the perfect gift. Toys R Us has a great rewards program too as well as coupons for these items.

I was thinking a play kitchen as well. It's something they can grow into.

I got my girls a play kitchen will all the "stuff". No matter what the weather, they were able to play together in their kitchen.

I thought a cubby house too, but still any other ideas are welcome... never thought of a little play kitchen, my eldest had a lil mini cooking set she likes to help cook with so thats a good idea too.
