Jumperoo or exersaucer?

My son is 5 months old and out growing his playmat and is very active with his legs. I've been looking at getting him either a jumperoo or an exersaucer to play in. I'm leaning towards a jumperoo because I think he'd really enjoy jumping. Any suggestions or favorites?

I just read Katrina's post and she makes a good point about the exersaucer being useful longer. My boy used it to learn to pull up and and cruise - at 11 months he still plays with the toys. The jumperoo wouldn't be sturdy enough for pulling up and since it has those extra legs on the outside not much good for cruising either.

We have an exersaucer which my son loved. He could jump while he was in it since it has some spring to it. He liked to turn and watch me or the dog when we were in the house - I could walk back and forth between rooms and he could still see me easily. We could move it outside and he could spin to watch different things likes cars going by and such. We also have a johnny jump up at my mom's house and he loved to jump it in but he could also watch people going from room to room because he could spin around.

My friend has a jumperoo and he son likes it but it is also static so he is always facing the same way and can't turn to look at different things - my son was in it for about 5 or ten minutes and then decided he didn't like it because he couldn't see everything.

If they make one that the seat spins and he really likes to jump the Jumparoo would be a better choice because it does allow for higher/more jumping.

We got my son a 3 in 1 exersaucer. He LOVED to jump in his and spin around! When he started to stand and got to big for his exersaucer it turned into a stationary play table. He still uses it today(He's 1 today!) and loves to play with the attached toys. Best $200 we spent this past year!

My daughter had a jumperoo. She loved it! She loved to make it bounce. I was amazed at how she could get that thing going. My parents had an exersaucer at their house for her to use. She liked that too, but she seemed to like the jumperoo more. The excersaucer kept her entertained, but she would laugh and laugh when jumping in the jumperoo.

My son loved the jumperoo. I loved it too. I'd get a big kick out of watching him bounce around in it. Wish he was still small enough for it though. Lol. Good luck. :]

I used a jumperoo for both of my kids and they loved it. If he has active legs I think it would be the best bet for him.
