so they told me im about 8 weeks but wont be sure until i have my ultra sound but before we found out Im pregnant about 3 or 4 days ago I took ib proufen could anything effect the baby or the pregnancy?

Congratulations on your news, but taking ibproufen wont harm your little one..... If you are still unsure do not take any more and ask your GP at scan.... Good luck

Congratulations!!!
As I understand it, the reason you are advised to take Tylenol is because it has been tested extensively on pregnant women. Ibuprofen has not been proven to be harmful, it has just not been confirmed as harmless.

I was at a End of Political Party (I sold spots for TV), and I had about 3 glasses of wine. I had no idea that I was about 3 weeks pregnant. That was the only time I drank anything that entire year - go figure. I told my doctor about it, and she said to definitely not worry. So, I would just bring it up with your doctor when you go in next, or call and ask for a nurse practioner, and see what they say.

Well first off CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What great news!!!!!!!!! I have to agree with Kate. I don't believe that a small dose of Ibuprofen will have a negative impact on this pregnancy. I would just try not to think about it.

I'm sure you'll probably be fine, but my doctor told me not to take ibuprofen when I was pregnant...actually it was his nurse? But this was of course after having taken PLENTY of ibuprofen! Start taking tylenol and don't worry about what happened before you found out ;) Congratulations!!!

congrats and baby will be fine as long as you now and stay away from it all willl be good....i was taking ibproufen until after i was 9 weeks prego with my son only because i didnt know till then but hes now 17 months and fine lol and pregnancy was good too lol.....

I think you are fine with one dose of ib profen. The ones that affect the blood flow to the baby are aisprins. You are fine to take paracetamol whilst pregnant as long as you stick to the dose. Don't worry at 8 weeks the baby will be fine. Congratulations by the way I hope you have a lovely glowing pregnancy.

Chances are slim that it will affect the baby or the pregnancy. Many women who don't know they are pregnant will have a glass of wine or smoke until they find out. The baby is 9 times out of 10 just fine. One ib profen probably won't affect the embryo one way or another.
