We've been TRYING to keep the Grand-Babies SAFE from neglect and abuse by their "parents" CPS is a JOKE!!! I have NEVER delt with such a POOR agency! What has to happen????.....a child DIES before they actually DO SOMETHING??? Where do we go from here! The "parents" *and I use that term LOOSELY, are both criminals, FILTHY living conditions and SO neglectful, it is hard for me to FATHOM all that I have recently learned! It makes me physically SICK! NOW...since "they" are released from jail, these poor babies HAVE to go back to the disgusting situation AGAIN!!! PLEASE...can ANYONE give more insight as what to do????

Believe it or not that's really not all that uncommon unfortunately. My best friend raised her three younger siblings because her parents were too busy with their computer games. and that's just one of thousands of families this happens to. And if they children have food in the cupboards and clothes on their backs and are not being physically abused, there's not much CPS can do.

Sure isn't the case here. I have been able to access their criminal history...UNREAL!! and they CONSISTANTLY sweet-talk their way out of most..using the children as "excuses" of WHY they need to be "free". It would be viewed a LITTLE different in my book if they had done something wrong trying to HELP THE CHILDREN (not saying that is RIGHT, just maybe a little more understandable??) But they have TOTALLY focused on THEMSELVES ans let these poor little ones "go-it" alone!! And I DO mean LITTERALLY!!! Sitting in the same diapers for HOURS and HOURS, NO BATHING unless they have a check up coming up. NO dental hygiene AT ALL, the list goes on! It's UNREAL to me to THINK that anyone could have children and use them as a "ticket" to get MORE public assistance!!! PITYFUL!!!!

That's horrible. I know here that if the parents are proven to be unfit the grandparents can file for custody.

Hi Michelle~ According to DIV. of Child Services, "the custodial parents" have all of the rights unless the state takes custody. I tried to get and Emergency Temporary Custody Order, which is only good for 30 days. I just HONESTLY PRAY...that they (the child bearers) are sent away for their CRIMINAL charges, so these children can have a REAL LIFE!! :/

You would be best to get yourself a lawyer and ask what rights grandparents have where you are. You may need to apply to the courts for custody of them but you will need solid proof of the neglect and abuse.
Good luck and I hope those babies stay safe while you sort out the mess.
