On whether to call the doc, I'd say if her weight starts going down, you may have to consider it. It is possible that with the teething she's not liking the bottles and it will blow over in a couple of days, but if it goes to long or you start seeing signs of dehydration, lethargy, etc., you may need to talk to your doc for advice. Good luck.

You can try a different bottle as well. The Tommee Tiptee (sp?) are supposed to be the closest, though Evenflo makes one called Breastflow or Breastwave that is also pretty close. Otherwise, I agree with the sippy cup suggestion. The straw ones are harder to clean, but sometimes kids will accept them better than the spout ones because they can still suck on them (they also leak a little less). They can also try adjusting the temperature (maybe they're not warming it enough or they are doing it too long). Tell them to make sure they shake it a few times so the temperature can be even and that they use a pitcher of warm water rather than the microwave or a pan in the stove since the change can be too abrupt. One other suggestion, and I don't care for it myself but sometimes you don't have a choice, is to use formula when you're not home. Some babies will only accept breast milk from mom, but will take formula in a bottle from someone else. My daughter would go through periods when the only way she would take the bottle from daddy was if it was powdered formula. The same thing happened with a friend of mine. Whenever she left her daughters with dad or grandma they would only take the formula. Good luck!

Has your husband/boyfriend tried a straw or sippy cup? You can even try to use a regular cup to feed her (slow and messy process, but might work).

Does she nurse from the 'tap' when you are together? Or does she use a bottle then too? Some babies will NOT use a bottle, but will accept breast milk from a cup of some sort when mom is not around.

At 4 months she doesn't need to be eating food. Just breast milk or formula. Does she eat (nurse or bottle) when you are with her? How long are you away from her while at work? How much is she consuming total in a 24 hour period?

How old is your baby? How long has it been since your baby has had something? What is it that your baby is not eating? Is he/she sick or teething? Is he/she getting dehydrated?

You really haven't given any info to go on yet.
