Leaving kids in a hot car

i am a little laxed occationally, i just remembed to left my sleeping daughter while i popped into a chemist, again i was parked outside the store, i had the windows down and it is winter here at the moment,i ran in dropped off a script, stood at the door paid and left, mayeb 10 mins, again in full eye sight!
a few years ago i heard some idiot on the radio show asking if there is anyway to leave the A/C on but lock the car and turn it off so she could leave a sleeping baby...answer, no too long to torn off the A/C, or leave the car unloceked.... too long to leave a baby

to an auto teller, petrol station and as i live in a very small place where i can pop in a grab bread from the baker in less than 2 mins, with the car parked dircectly outside the door, but parked, turned off in a car park, no, even without the heat danger, lord knows what state my car would be in when i got back to it, or if they just got out and took off who knows where they would get to...

No. NEVER. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be sitting in my car with no A/C and windows up so why would my children? The temperature outside can go up another 20 degrees or so INSIDE the freaking car.

Mothers get lazy. They think it will just be for a minute or five. Take that freakin minute to drag the children in the store with you, bad mood, inconvenience and all!

It is worth the pain in the ass to get them out of the car than the heartache of a terrible decision not to.

Ugh. This topic makes me ill. The woman in Texas who left her 3 kids was inside giving blood alongside her husband/boyfriend/whatever. They were gone TWO hours.

First of all, it took THAT long for other people to notice the vehicle with children in it?? Or to do anything about it??

If it was that hot I and the windows were up, I would take it upon myself to bust out a window with a large object, then call the Fire Dept AFTERWARD.

I read an article where a woman in Dallas, TX (keep in mind we are under an intense heat wave now, temps 100-120 degrees F) went to the plasma center to donate her plasma (this whole process takes AT LEAST 20 minutes) and left her 4 children, all 5 and under (5 month old included) WITH THE WINDOWS UP. Someone saw her walk in the center and called 911! The kids are OK thank God.

It's frickin' ILLEGAL to leave children and pets in a parked car! I *HATE* seeing that. I saw a chihuahua in a car the other day at Target and I was in the middle of writing a nasty note to it's owner when the moron walked out and drove off. I have no idea how long that dog was in that car but they could have killed it. As it was when they opened the door to get in the dog took off across the parking lot. Moron owner. :(

Hearing about stuff like this makes me sick! Some people really and truly amaze the heck out of me. Did this woman not have a brain?

I can understand that it can be a pain in the ass sometimes when you have to lug your kids into a store or wherever when you just have to run in really quickly. But, anything can happen within seconds/minutes. I'm not willing to risk my child's life like that.

My asshole sister once took her young child, and my other sisters 2 young kids (we are talking 4 and under) to Target (she was babysitting my other sisters kids and had her own with her) she left all the kids in the car in the baking sun....she had the windows down at least. She told us about it like a dumb fuck. And then she got pissed that we all yelled at her. She needed to run in and grab a dress she wanted, and it would be quicker without lugging 3 kids. No fuck it would be quicker, that does not validate your reason to leave 3 kids in the car on a hot ass day...even with the windows down you flipping moron! I WISH someone called the cops on her.

I pay at the pump because it is such a pain to lug the kids into the gas station. I refuse to leave them in the car period. Even in my driveway if we get home late at night I run one up as fast as I can and lock the doors for the one that is still asleep in the car. There are too many what if's and in the summer heat you're asking for trouble but you always read about these parents who go get there nails done or leave their kids in the car while they're tanning and you just think if they're such an inconvenience for you why did you have them?
