Hi

i found out on tuesday that i am pregnant, yesterday i started bleeding, only very light, but red. I went to see my dr this morning who is referring me to an early pregnancy assessment unit, but this won't happen until next week now. She said i may bleed heavier during the weekend, which would most likely indicate miscarriage. Tonight when i went to pee in noticed a clot in the bowl, this but had no blood on sanitary pad, so seems only when i go to the toilet it comes out (sorry tmi) has anyone ever had similar and gone on to continue with a healthy pregnancy? if it was a miscarriage, wouldn't i be cramping?

Thanks for reading.

I was actually bleeding very lightly on wiping when I did a pregnancy test, and the test was positive, but when I phoned the doctor they sent me for a scan the next day and they confirmed everything was fine. I'm now 36 weeks pregnant (with twins)

You can get implantation bleeding early during pregnancy. Unless you bleed heavier over the week-end, I would try not to worry too much, and hopefully you will be fine for the scan

I also had bleeding thru my entire pregnancy with my son, it was coming from my cervix. So while bleeding can be a sign of miscarriage, it's not always, and is quite common. I was told many times if I was having a miscarriage, then I would know

Good luck, I hope everything is fine for you.

The best thing you can do is rest as much as possible and TRY not to worry! Prayers for good news next week!!

My twin sister had similar symptoms (we were both pregnant at the same time, our due dates were a few days apart). Sadly she went on to miscarry. I will pray that everything will be okay for you. Good luck.
