Looking for a good sippy cup that is easy to clean and drip/spill proof.

I am currently using the Playtex cups with the clear rubber stopper and they works great, but they are starting to leak a bit. Maybe cleaning them is weakening them. I don't want to keep replacing them. I want one that is easy to clean milk and juice out of.

best ones i have found and i have tried almost all of them are the Gerber ones...they have removable stoppers so you can clean them easily. i throw them right in dishwasher. just remove the stopper and put it with your silverware. and the lid and cup on the top shelf. and best part, THEY DO NOT LEAK!

The best thing I've found are the Kids Nalgene bottles / sippers. They are very durable (as are all Nalgene products). They do have a lid with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper can be used to prevent spills and later removed, when your child is older and form a bit more as a 'sports bottle'. These do not leak for me (with the stopper in) and again, are very durable. However, they are a little bit bigger than most 'sippy cups' and therefore seem to be better for older babies. My daughter is 13 months old and just got the hang of using this one about a month or two ago.

I have tried a Gerber and two Nuby ones.

The Gerber I didn't like because the valve would come off every so often and then it would just pour out.

The One Nuby, I liked (tall slender) but when my son dropped it, the valve would come out and leak like crazy. The other Nuby we tried is the one iwth teh soft lid, no valves. This one he likes to hit the spout and get water/juice everywhere.

I have not tried the Advent, nor seen them around anywhere, but I will keep an eye out.

Also, Kristin, where do you get just the valves for the Playtex? I have never seen them around. It's a great idea!!

Thanks for your help ladies!

You can buy just the stoppers for the playtex cups. We are using the same cups for my 1 year old that we used with our 4 year old. Just replaced the stoppers and they worked like brand new.

I saw my friend from England had a cup called 'Anyway up cup'. She gave me one it was so good I got 3 more from ebay- uk. There are no seals or stoppers. Just 2 pieces, the cup and the lid. They don't leak even when shaken upside down.

I have the Nuby sippy cups. They don't have the extra piece so they're easy to clean. The "stopper" is built in to the cup. My DD is 8 1/2 months so they are easy to drink from and they don't leak.
