I had two boys, and we are done. I love the name Carissa. I also like my middle name, Laurin.
We were like a few who have posted... I just couldn't imagine naming my children until I actually saw and interacted with them. You'll know the perfect name for your daughter at just the perfect time. I wouldn't stress over it. ;) It will come.

What if you each picked one of the names? I totally picked name for first child, second we both decided, and third child husband picked first name,I picked middle. I think we did OK. Carissa Autumn, Megan Renae, and Joshua Cade. Life is all about compromise...

Names have meanings. Look on the internet and I think you'll find them. Not sure where to look. Just try.

My daughter named her second little girl McKinley and I really love it. She and her husband had gone to Alaska just before she found out she was pregnant so she picked the name after Mt. McKinley in Alaska.

I named my daughter Willow Aubrie. It is a cute, unique, girly name and I know that she won't meet many people with the same name as her, if any. and I plan on naming my next daughter Parker Abigail.

Emilee, Brittney, Lindsay, McKenzie, Lexi, never had any girls, I had all boys(4), but these were some of the names I would have used. Good Luck let us know what name you come up with. Another one you might try is your maiden name as her first name. I think it helps kids to have a connection to family.

After having 4 boy's,(naming them was hard enough),I found out I was having a little "girl"..I knew that her name would have to be something "special",and a name that would really suit her..After considering a few we decided to go with Tilly-rose,which suits her just perfect..We didn't name her after anyone in the family, although I did give her my middle name of Josephine..I had waited so long to have a girl, had to put my name in there somewhere!!..Not a day goes by when someone doesn't comment on her name..Whatever name you choose,it will be the right one..Good luck..

I like the names Christine, Kelley my daughters names but alos like Emma, Katelyn, Kimberly Renae, Sarah, and Aubrey. You are right to give your daughter a name that she can use her whole life and that it is spelled like it sounds. Crazy names and cuties spellings make it hard for the child as well as teachers. Also I like names that are for girls I had girls in my daughters class named Ryan, Kyle, and they were always thought to be boys

I have an August 29th daughter too. She'll be 9 this year. Her name is Jade. You'll find something you love. Picking out names is so fun and everyone has their own tastes (as I'm sure you can tell from the all the name selections on this post). Congratulations on your pregnancy!

We named our daughter Joy because our kids all bring us such joy. Find a name that means something. It doesn't have to be a name from family, but when you go to sleep, think of what the baby might look like, and see if you dream of something, or someone. Good luck and have fun.

Another thot.. I had 3 boys, Isaac Aaron, and Ezra. They have all had the problem of people asking how they spell their names.. Mine is Cheryl ..I have too..Is is a C or an S?? all my life.. I guess my one piece of advice would be to pick a simple name, easy to spell for people but still unique..does that help??

Wow! You got a lot of responses! Veronica Joy, Edna Mae, Candace May, Suzannah Renae, Ruby. Do you have a letter that you want to name all of the kids. It eliminates a lot. My mom had a Jennifer, Jason, Joel, Julia & Jaclynn. Eden, Linda, Olive, Naomi, Opal. Think of names not used in a long time. When mom named me it was the most popular name. There were always three Jennifers in my class until high school. It was confusing. I hypenated my daughter's name & gave her no middle name. For me boy names are easier to come up with. Hope these helped.

I've never heard anyone use that name before! Winifred is my sister's middle name! Mine is Lamond. We always questioned our mom as to how she came up with those names! LOL

Alissiya, Bethany, Hope, Astina, Molly, Fay, Amy, Betina, think you are quite licky as most of those go with your surname. Don't worry too much I had agreed a name with my husband for my eldest daughter and when she was born she had dark hair and she was Emma straight away because fiona which we had chosen I just thought had blond hair. She went blonde but then she has always been awkward lol. Then my son they actually wrote us a letter reminding us of the six week deadline because we couldn't agree he was stuart for a couple of weeks but then didnt like short version!!! You will frind the right name for your little girl. Goodluck
