My baby has had two lumps at the base of his skull (top of his neck!) Have heard they are Lymph nodes, any ideas when I should become concerned?

Definitely get it checked out. My daughter had a lump on her skull that turned out to be a dermoid cyst, which she had to have removed via surgery (it's nothing major, something that forms in utero and grows and could potentially dent the skull if it's not removed). Her's was a little further up on her skull though, so if it's by the neck it's always possible to be a lymph node, but these dermoid cysts can pop up anywhere (my aunt had one on her kidney), so it's better to be safe than sorry at any rate!

Thanks Girls, he did have very bad cradle cap, so that makes sense. Also everyone has bad flu at the moment so maybe he's fighting a virus too. Will ask doc when we go!

You could talk to your ped. but my son had one for years and it went away. He is almost 7 and lost his maybe when he was 4 or 5. Good luck and if your really concerned it doesn't hurt to talk to a ped about it.

My daughter had swollen lymph nodes as well. While it Can indicate an infection or other problem, with us it was a reaction from her having cradle cap and is apparently pretty normal. Our pediatrician said that as long as they were not getting bigger, becoming hard to move (just a little wiggle is ok), or that others were not popping up it was ok. She also had them behind her ears- it took a few months for them to go away. I would mention it to your pediatrician on your next visit, but unless the baby is obviously sick, I wouldn't make an extra visit for it! Hope this helps :)
