has anyone used the mesh feeder, its like this little mesh with a handle and helps prevent choking? I would like to know what you think of it and if I should get it.

I used it for teething with frozen fruits veggies and ice. Like other mothers said it gets messy and hard to clean so I didnt use it for regular meals.

Some babies love them and some babies hate them. My baby never got it, he didn't like them. A few of the babies in our playgroup loved them and used them all the time. I think it just depends on the baby. Maybe buy one and try it.

I have and I love it. The kid can chow down on apples or whatever and not choke. the hardest part is getting it clean, but I still love it. I used it for my first two and will use it fir my new one soon

My girl loves that thing...but she only likes ice in it. She's teething pretty bad and likes it a lot better than teething rings

I got one for my son to help ease teething discomfort.  We used it several times, but I agree with the previous poster who said they are a pain to clean and they are also very messy.  Even if you get them to the sink right away, it's still hard to get all the mushed up food out of the seams on the inside.  However, it does work with the teething.

I used it maybe once or twice because they are hard to get really clean.  Especially with bananas!

I used it a lot too when my son was little.  He loved it when I put ice in it.

I was going to use one when my oldest was a baby but her doctor did not recommend it saying it was bad on the gums and baby teeth.

I also used it a lot. My baby was not so good at taking bites out of pieces of food, he'd stuff it all in his mouth and choke. I was so nervous! So I got him this feeder. It was great! I put tons of stuff in there, lots of fruit, teething biscuits... It was a pain to wash though. If you get one, make sure you rinse and soak it as soon as your baby is done with it! I stopped using it once he had a couple of teeth.

I use it all the time. Love it. It allows them to try different foods, textures that they otherwise wouldn't be able to. I put carrots, cantoloupe, watermelon, apple, ice(when teething)...

It's great too because you don't need to worry about a choking hazard. Also, in children just learning to eat solids, it fosters the "chewing" motion.
