I bought my boyfriend Metallica tickets for him and I to go see them in concert for our anniversay... I was just wondering if the loud music would bother or harm the baby, I will be 8 months along. ??

my little sis went to a Metallica concert when she was 8 months. It won't hurt the baby..well didn't hurt my niece. You just have to make sure you stay away from mosh pits and thrash dancing. Just be careful!

I went to a concert at 7-8 mths. I had high blood pressure at the time and was high risk b/c my first child was premature. My OB did a cervical check just to make sure I hadn't dilated at all before the concert, and told me not to be to active, and I went on my melly way and was fine. If you have any concerns, call your OB.

Thanks everyone. I won't be participating in any mosh pits.. I actually bought seat tickets, even though I REALLY want floor tickets but figured there would be no place to safely stand/nor whould i really want to stand for that long! I was just concerned about the noise level and excitement.!

I say, go now while you still have the chance and don't have to worry about babysitters, etc. Enjoy being a couple. Just be careful going to and from your seat!!! The baby is well protected and who knows, he/she might end up being a Metallica fan!!

I would be extremely careful if i were you. if you think that your baby might be harmed in anyway then dont go. and remember your ready to pop, so with to much activity depening on your situation you could break your water. i would just be super super careful. the noise level should be perfectly fine, the only thing i worry about is you going into labour because of so much excitment and activity. HAVE FUN!!

the baby is in such a thick protective encasement and i read that the whole time they r in there it sounds like a loud vacuum cleaner running. thats why docs suggest to run a vaccuum or stand by the dryer after they r born if they get fussy. ive always played my music kinda loud preggo n even now n its more soothing then anything.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I would go to my friends conerts all the time. It did not harm her at all. As long as you are not participating in any mosh pits the baby should be fine.

I dont think so things are prolly pretty muffled by your body but im sure he or she will be able to hear it lol. I was actually gonna go to a stone temple pilots concer at the end of next month I'll be 8 months then too.
