I am just wondering how long you can keep milk out of the fridge for before you would not feed it to your child again?

8 hours. I know this because our daughter was fed througha tube and used a kanga pump over night and we had to top up her bag half way through the night due to not being able to have milk running through there for the whole 10 hours

my doctor and the lactation nurse told me its an hour after use. It's not a good idea to put it in the fridge after the child has used the bottle and drank from the milk because the bacteria can cause thrush. As long as the milk hasn't been drank a few hours but no more than that.

wow. Ok. I usually leave his bottle of milk out for 4 - 5 hours. I always heat up his milk and just let him finish it whenever he wants it. If I don't think he is going to finish it I will put it back in the fridge until later and reheat it again. What do your little ones drink if you are getting rid of their milk so quickly? Do you always have something out for them? I should mention that my son is 16 months.

I WOULD PROBABLY SAY AN HOUR. PROBABLY EVEN LONGER. YOU CAN SMELL MILK TO C IF IT'S SPOILED. IF IT DOESN'T SMELL RIGHT R IF IT'S CLABBERED, THEN U KNOW U HAVE TO THROW IT AWAY.

If my son hasn't finished his milk within 45 minutes, I dump it out. I may be overly concerned, but I worry about bacteria growing. That's why I don't put it back in the refrigerator.

I would say it depends on the age of the child, when my boys were babies i used to make the bottles up and keep them and use them within 4hrs at room temp. If they had been in the fridge then taken out i would used them within 2hrs. If you are using cows milk(our milk) for an older child i say a couple of hours.
I hope that this helps.

Well, freshly expressed breastmilk can be left unrefridgerated for up to 4 hours.
