I read a brief on a small study done that suggests mom who suffered from morning sickness delivered babies with a head full of hair whereas mothers who did not suffer morning sickness delivered babies either bald or with little hair.

I'm curious to see within COM what the verdict is.

I had zero morning sickess and my little guy was born with just a wee bit of hair.

I had morning sickness all the way through at least the seventh month with all of my kids and they all had hair!! The oldest had hair long enough to put barrettes and rubber bands in the minute she was born. Now I am pregnant again and this is the worst morning sickness I've had, so I guess, now I have a theory to check out. I heard that it was heart burn. The more heartburn you have the more hair. That theory proved to be wrong, since I had no heart burn at all with any of my pregnancies, except this one!

I had morning sickness with all my three kids and they were all born with lots of hair. With my first, my morning sickness didn't stop until I delivered and my daughter was born with the most hair of all three. When I was in labor, they try to mornitor her heart beat from her head but they coulding because she had head full of hair!

I had TONS of morning sickness... and my little man had a head full of hair. However, my mom was very sick when she was pregnant with me and my sisters, but we were all bald.

I can definitely bust this Myth! I had no morning sickness nor indigestion and my little guy was born with a head full of hair. check out my pictures. His hair stands up on its own, I comb it down and it pops right back up.

I didn't have any morning sickness and my baby had more hair than any baby I'd ever seen! So I don't think it matters. I did have horrible heartburn though and had heard that meant a lot of hair...

I had always heard it was heartburn (a lot of it) that determined if a baby had a lot of hair at birth. I didn't have m.s. with either child, but lots of heartburn with my oldest. My oldest was born with a lot of hair. :)

I had terrible morning sickness, couldn't even raise my hands above my head without setting me off, and both boys were born with a ton of hair! I had always heard it was if you had a lot of indigestion you would have a baby with lots of hair. I had that too. I don't know if either is true, but I imagine the medical profession would say it isn't.

I was so sick with every one of my children, and I have 6, but I was the most sick with the first one, and she was born bald. I have heard this before, but it has to be a myth!!

I was sick the whole time and my little girl had no hair, no eyelashes and no eyebrows when she was born. She really did not have hair until she was almost two! I also had heartburn for months so I am thinking you just never know!

i had zero morning sickness with either pregnancy, and both of my kids were born with full heads of black hair, which didn't fall out but rather just thickened and grew.

however, i had read of the association with heartburn (apparently the hormone causing hair growth causes heartburn, or vice versa), and i had terrible heartburn with both of them. carried tums on my person at all times :)

I had no morning sickness at all and my kid was born with a so much hair! It was about an inch in length all over. She had her first haircut at just 3 months and has been going to get haircuts every month since! It is so thick we break hair ties all the time. She has trouble brushing it. She is now 9 years old! I don't believe any of these studies anymore. It is all genetics. My husband has really thick auburn hair and so do I. Our kid has 2x the amount!

My first baby I suffered from morning sickness for the first 5 months and he was born with a full head of hair, he had his first hair cut at 4 months because his hair was so long.

My second son I had morning sickness for 9 months and he had very little bit on top and bald the rest of his head.

My third son I was sick for 3 weeks and he was born with hair not as much as my first but a lot more then my second. It seems to be an "old wives tale"

I had morning sickness with 3 of 4 of my kids and they were all born with a ton of hair. But on the other side with my other pregnancy I didn't have any morning sickness and he was also born with a ton of hair. I always heard that the more heart burn you had the more hair the baby will have. I had terrible heart burn with all my kids.

i didn't suffer from morning sickness when i had my son and he had a head full of hair. however, i've heard that there is an association between the amount of hair on the baby and heartburn later on in the pregnancy (from 7 months onwards)

I have 3 children and had equal amount of morning sickness with each of them, my first was born with a medium amount of hair the second not so much and i say out of the 3 i had the most sickness with him and my daughter was more fine dark hair over her body realy, but my sister didnt realy have much sickness and my niece had the most hair you could ever have seen and just kept growing, so i think with me its just a wives tale.

I never had a drop of morning sickness and my daughter had a head full of hair. I will say this though, the last month I had indigestion pretty bad, I have heard the old wives tale that this has something to do with it, but reallly I just think it is the genes. My first child had a hair, again no morning sickness, but no indigestion either... Who knows...

I had horrible morning sickness for the first 16 weeks and Sofia has more hair than I've ever seen on a baby. However, I also had horrific heartburn for the entire pregnancy, and that's what I've always heard means the baby will have lots of hair.

I have 2 and 1 more on the way, morning sickness with everyone and both so far were born with just enough to put a ONE barret on top. when they were about 2 that's when the hair came in, I myself was born with hair then it all fell and now I have hair to spare. So it's all about genetics.

From what I've read this isn't true. I've read and my doctor has told me that a lot of heartburn could mean a lot of hair at birth, because heartburn/indigestion have the same hormone that grows hair. I don't know how true it is, but I've herd for years that extreme morning sickness is a sign of a healthy baby. I didn't have much morning sickness, but I've had terrible terrible heartburn and it only gets worse as time goes by. I'm due in the middle of July, so I'm curious if my baby boy is going to have a full head of hair. I hope so and all this suffering isn't for nothing....lol

I had no morning sickness and my daughter was born with a full head of hair although the midwife said having heartburn would mean your baby would be hairy and I had severe heartburn during my pregnancy so was worried I was going to give birth to chewbacca but luckily she had just the right amount of hair so I think its all just myths.

Hi there, I was extremely nauseous with my second child, for months on end, morning, noon and night. If I woke up at 3am I would be nauseous and even throwing up. It was terrible. My boy was born with what I would call an average mop of hair, we are quite light in complexion with blonde hair, so definately not a full mop of hair. So I don't quite agree with that opinion. I think it is more hormone related. And unfortunately, NOTHING helped and I tried everything, from doctor's prescription medication to homeopathic drops and home remedies.
