I'm 29 weeks pregnant and still get morning sickness that lasts all day. Anyone go through the same thing or have any ideas how to get rid of it?

I was sick for the whole 9 months for both my pregnancies. Had 10 vomit free days with my 1st (a girl) and only 3 vomit free days for my 2nd (boy). It was so bad that I was hospitalised and nasal gastric fed for both pregnancies. I certainly did not do pregnancy well. Before i ended up nasal gastric fed I took the drug zoffran (usually given to chemotherapy patients to stop nausea). They were very expensive and took the edge off a bit but I inevitably ended up with the nasal gastric tube!

If you still have it at 29 weeks you will probably have it all the way through. Starchy foods are best to eat. Hot chips was the only thing that I could remotely keep down in the early stages. I tried all other remedies but they didn't seem to work. The moment I gave birth though I was perfectly fine. It is like a switch is turned off. Very miraculous!

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and I hope you feel better soon (in 11 weeks you definitely will!)

Take care of yourself and rest as much as possible xo

My doctor prescribed me 2 different anti-nausea medications. They really worked well. I still got sick every now and then but nothing like before I took them. It was terrible. I lost 10 lbs in my first trimester. I was thin to begin with. Then I got prescribed the medications and gained 20lbs. I think one was phenergen and the other I can't remember. I think you should go to your doctor and ask about medicine. Good luck. I hope this helps. I know how it is. It is not fun but it ends up being worth it all:)

I have three children and all of the pregnancies were different when it cam to morning sickness. All I can suggest is taking TUMS with Calcium (which are safe during the pregnancy) and peppermint. With my kids being 16, 9, and 4 pepperment has been a life save because it helps stop the vomitting. I still use it any time I begin to feel nauseous or when someone is vomitting. It may take a little while to work but it generally does. I tend to use pepperment oil or pepperment candies. If you choose to use the pepperment oil, check with your local health store for the proper ways to use it.

I hate to bring bad news but I had it through the whole pregnancy all three of them I found that rolaids help a little but ask your ob for some nausea pills they help a lot good luck once you have the baby you may forget how bad labor was but you will never forget how sick you were I used to have to go to the ER to get fluids all the time just be careful you can go into preterm labor if you are dehydrated

Yes i had it. No the drugs the doctor prescribed didn't work, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try them.

nothing worked. Avoiding triggers was sorta helpful. Things w/presevatives set me off, gross smells like vanilla (LOL yeah really) and the cat box, bending over,...

I had precious few comfort foods. FRESH baked breads from the german bakery was probably my sole comfort food. A couple of soups were tolerated. Fresh made, nothing from a can or a dried package.

hang in there hun, not much longer. have you talked to your doc?

I never had morning sickness but I felt nausea through my entire pregnacey...I would drink orange juice and eat saltine crackers...not sure if it will work for morning sickness but I think nausea feels the same, but nothing comes up. I hope it works. Good Luck

I had my twins at 30 weeks and I was sick the entire pregnancy. I only gained 25 pounds. I was on Diclectin and was still sick everyday so I have no idea how to get rid of it.

Hi, I had a great 1st pregnancy with just regular morning sickness but with my 2 boys, I had hyperemesis which is sick right through, was in the hospital being fed through IV and PIC line and it was awful but have 3 beautiful babies, the good news is your baby will be fine, they usually are even though we get so sick:) There is a drug Odansetron which works great, it is also known as Zofran but that is the only thing that gave me somewhat of a relief so I could function, i wish you the best and dont worry about eating just keep your fluids in as that is most important, best of luck, i totally understand what you are going through.

I had no morning sickness. I have 2 months to go, and over the last week I have felt queasy a few times to where I had to lie down. I hope it dosent get worse. O.o

I think there is a motion sickness syryp for kids you can take. Ask your Doc if he knows of the kiddie syrup. I don't remember the name. I did take it when I was younger I was sick, and could not keep anything down. It worked.
