Moving from Mam's room to the nursery???

Hello everyone.
Since our daughter started sleeping 6 hours through the night, I've been trying to work with my 3 month old on getting her to sleep in her own room. I've started with nap time. So far no luck. She won't even take her naps even if I'm leaning over the side patting her or have soft music on or using the same blankets that were in her bassinet. So I end up laying her back down in the bassinet in my room and she passes right out.
Does anyone have advice on how to make the transition enjoyable for everyone? Or am I moving too fast for her and should just let her stay in our room a little longer?
Thanks ~Erika

I moved my daughter to her own room at 6 months, when she outgrew her bassinet. Then I put her in the pack and play because it was roomier, but not as big as the crib. I still wanted her to feel cozy.

I agree with Alicia.....I would leave her in her bassinet at first and just put that in her room and once she's more familiar with her room you can try and transition her into her crib! Keep in mind that some kids just won't like the crib with all that wide open space......I'm assuming she's not rolling over just yet so you might wanna try swaddling her tightly when you place her in her crib so she doesn't feel so exposed......or possibly using one of those sleep aids that help keep baby in one spot? I'm not really sure how to describe them or what they're called but I've seen a lot of moms using them!

Good luck!

Have you tried placing the bassinet in her room? When you are putting her in the crib have it set on the highest setting so you don't have to been over as far to put her in the crib. If your letting her fall asleep in your arms then wait about 10 minutes before trying to place her in the crib so that she will be in the deepest stage of sleep.
You could also spend some time in the nursery when se is awake so that she can get use to the room. I personally keep my kids in our room longer, mostly due to lack of space. But they started sleeping in the crib before 4 months.
