my oldest went through that i called his doctor and they put him on whole milk but check with the doctor some times they have tricks that will help i would avoid adding chocolate or anything unless the dr recommends it

My son was alergic to milk and we did not realize it untill he got the rash all over because i put it in potatoes to mash them, he smeared it all onver hence the rash his breathing became constricted that time too we took him to the hospital then said the rash gone do not give him milk. it may not be in your case but he did not want it to drink but I was weaning him from the breast and did not know why he did not want it.

Instead of Quik or other mixes, how about adding some purred strawberries or other pureed fruit in with his milk. I would do that with my daughters milk at times, if she were particularly cranky about not drinking enough. Baby food, first step level, works well because it blends easily and its not 'chunky'. Works great with veggies too, if their not getting enough!

At 11 months it's really ok if they go to whole milk if they won't take the formula anymore. With all three of mine they only got whole milk in a sippie cup, though. I wanted them to relate the "big kid drink" with the "big kid cup". In this way, they were weaned from the bottle and formula at the same time. It worked great for me with all three. I agree with Ashley, if your child refuses (and only if he refuses) to drink either, I would put just a Tblsp of choc or strawb syrup in the sippie cup with whole milk. Don't worry...every child goes thru this weaning process a little different! He''ll be fine :)

if its just starting him onto regular milk try mixing 1tsp of formula with 1 tsp of ovaltine and mixing into a sippy cup or small plasitic cup having him sit at table or in highchair .this way
if its spilled its not tile floor for easy clean.

He is supposed to have formula until he turns one but he if doesn't want it try regular milk maybe he just wants the real stuff. I did the same thing with my son and he did fine with it. You might try adding strawberry or chocolate syrup to it the best thing would be ovaltine because it has alot of vitamins and minerals that little kids need.

ur problem is exactly like mine at the moment but my son is 14 months old. I've tried to give him the milk hot, cold, from a bottle, from a sippy cup, from a normal cup and have even added Purity Goodies strawberry flavour to give it a different taste....but nothing has worked so far. He does however drink fruit juice and water but milk is a no go area for him. But i'm still gonna persist and see what happens. good luck,,,u not alone

My friends baby, didn't like the transition from formula to milk. She was actually pretty stuck on her formula, so stuck that she had to trick her by putting regular whole milk into the similac ready made bottles. -- That is the only way her baby would drink the milk.

I'm not sure how good it is to give your baby syrup at 11months. But then again i'm not a doctor.

Did you just switch to regular milk? Do you think that can be the problem?
