honestly my boy is still waking up too but the last few night my partner took control and has been letting him cry himself to sleep which has worked and i hate hearing him cry so if you are like me hand him over to the partner tell him what to do an vanish it has worked wonders for me, just make sure it the same during the day and if he goes to daycare tell them to do it to good luck

my son is 10 months and sleeping through the night most nights. he's sick right now so it's always rough when they're sick. but we have a routine every night he gets dinner around 5:30 if i'm on schedule and plays for an hour and then at 6:30 i give him a bottle and rock him for about half of the bottle and then lay him in his crib and leave the room. he was waking up in the middle of the night and screaming almost like he was scared so i got a night light and a 15 watt bulb and put that in his room and he's been sleeping much better, now when he wakes he's more likely to self soothe cuz it's not so dark.

sometimes my 3 year old even gets up during the night.....i also have an 11-12 mth old.....what i do is feed her and then put her to bed..and if she wakes up during the night....i change her nappy and then give her a bottle and tuck her in her bed.......she drinks some of the bottle and then falls back to sleep again......i only put a dim light on too so she doesn't fully awaken whilst changing her then turn it off once she is tucked in

do you go into the room and pick you baby up and try to soothe him back to sleep. I would try letting him self soothe. you need to just let him cry it out its going to suck for you and your going to feel awful but it will be fine. It took me about a week to get my daughter to fall asleep through the whole night the first two nights she cried for like two hours straight i would go in let her know im still here but wouldnt pick her up shes been sleeping from eight at night to eight the next morning now for like seven months and shes a year old. GOOD LUCK!

Oh Wendy, to tell you the truth I don't think we can ever make our children sleep through the night properly. My daughter is 19 months and she still wakes some nights, the best we can do is to help them learn to self settle, that way when they do wake during the night they are able to get themselves back to sleep without our help. I had to learn this the hard way.......... But now most of the time when Jessica wakes she is able to settle herself back to sleep ( unless there is something bothering her)
