You'll find out soon if it's too early or not. Pull-ups helped me and my daughter at first, but then they became a crutch for me. I finally had to just put her in underwear and completely get rid of the pull-ups. Low and behold, she is potty trained! So, no harm in trying!

Every child is different, but go for it. Potty training at daycare is good cause they see the other kids doing the same thing. She will get the hang of it. You can make a surprise chart that when she goes potty at home she gets a star on the chart or any other sticker. Make it fun for her. She will love it. Good luck

A potty and pullups DEFINITELY work. My daughter is 14 months and is potty trained. I started her at 3 months old. I figured cuz she could already sit up without support at two months and i noticed a rhythm in her peeing why not sit her on the potty. It started with success once a day and now she wears regular panties throughout the day and pullups when we go out in public.

My daughter was that age when she started showing signs of being ready to train. Same kind of story as Laura. I don't think pull ups help along the way, I put my kids all straight into underpants with the plastice ones over, a bit more laundry at times, but saves a lot of money on pull ups. Having the potty out for them to see, and making it "fun" for them does encourage them along the way. If your daughter is not ready, you will know, she will show signs. At that time I would also suggest to let the daycare know not to force it upon her, as it will not help later when she is ready to be trained. Good luck to both of you. It is one of many stepping stones for you both.

I think it's a perfect opportunity to try! My daughter started training at that age and mostly because she was relentless in trying. It never hurts to try it especially with the daycare willing to help. Just make sure it's that she's interested and it's not just the daycares wishes. Which you should pick up on her vibes at home how she reacts to potty training. It is a very young age to potty train so don't be discouraged if she doesn't get the hang of it, but you have nothing to lose if she does! Good luck to you!

With each child it is different. My second son had just about trained himself at 18 months because he watched his older brother do it all the time. Since she is in an environment where other children are going potty, she might pick it up faster. If the teacher thinks that she is showing the signs, then go ahead and offer the opportunity. Just make sure they aren't being negative if she doesn't go to the bathroom. You don't want her to be discouraged at such a young age.
