My 2 year old baby girl doesn't want to potty train!

I'm getting really frustrated! My 2 year old does not want to potty train and she doesn't have any interest in potty training! I think we have tried everything and nothing seems to work. She says '' Mommy Alex loves diapers, don't like panties''.
We have tried rewards, having her wear panties all day, showing her how her sister uses the potty, sitting her in the potty every half hour and nothing seems to work.
She knows when she has to go. There are days when she will tell us she has to go and she will be doing great and all of a sudden she will change her mind and say something like ''mommy don't want potty no more, Alex wants diaper.''
Her big sister pretty much potty trained herself when she was a year and 3 months old. The only thing we did with her was show her the potty and showed her she had to pee there.
But my 2 year old is pretty set on not wanting to leave her diapers.
Anyone else have a stubborn 2 year old like mine?
Any ideas on what else could help?

Mine was not interested at 2 either. We had to back off because turning it into a battleground is counter productive. She turned 3 at the beginning of January and she's _just_ now interested in going to potty, though inconsistently at the moment. We're not losing sleep over it.

She's just not ready. My daughter wasn't interested at that age but a couple of moths ago she just started and is now day trained with no accidents. My daughter will be 3 in March.

Don't push her because it will just take longer, let her tell you when she's ready.

Ask the school, if they require the child being completely potty trained. If not, then work on it at her pace. If they do require the child to be potty trained, then once it warms up this spring, allow her to run around the house without anything on. When she continues to get wet, she will figure things out. Good luck.

Starting school might actually be helpful with the potty training.. When she sees the other kids using the big potty, maybe she'll get more excited. :) Two is really young though, so don't push it if she's not ready.

Thanks for your posts, it gives me hope that she will give in eventually. The only thing that worries me is that she starts school in September and most of the kids are already potty trained.
