my 2 year old son won't eat meat

Use Ensure shakes to make sure he gets all his nutrition (I mix them with ice cream lol). Then gradually hide the meat in other things like ravioli, or blend it into spaghetti sauce, pureed soups like squash soup could easily have some chicken or turkey pureed into it. :) Good luck!

i have tryed giving him hotdogs but all i get is eerr yuck i try different things every day but he just wont touch or taste it he even hate looking at it on the tv he always sits there saying yuck mum yuck lol

when i had him i was full term and he weight was 7lb 6oz he was a good size baby and yer his not tall he looks like his only 1.5 years old untill he opens his mouth and talks lol he is very advanced for his age his not behind on anything just his growing and putting weight on he loves his veg and has them for lunch and dinner and he has at least 5 vegs he also drinks alot of milk but wont have anything to do with cream but i do give icecream he loves his milkshakes to go to bed with  thanks

my son was the same way and he still kinda picky with it too. but what helped me a little bit with that problem is take a small bowl and put apple sauce in it. and let him dip it in the applesauce. the meat will taste sweet naturally. and just give him whole hotdogs that he can hold with his hands will throw him off because it is not in little pieces. another thing my son liked me to do is get fun shape cookie cutters and use them on bologna slices. he will think it is neat that it is in shapes.

My child has the same type of problem and he is a year and a half. I thought when i first found out he did not like meat,, He would lose too much weight. My advice to you is to try and put more fat in his diet. If he eats everything but meat I'm Sure he can eat other things that have a higher fat content. As long as he is eating everyday and that he eats three times a day I dont see the problem. The docter does have a point you are doing good with your child. Keep up the good work cause you sound like you have it under control. Don't let things worry you too much. If he starts getting diareah and getting sick than you know you have to contact a doctor right away. Ive only had one child and I see what your going through. Just like I said if he at least has a healthy diet and he is eating three times a day it will be ok. This is my first time responding to a situation like this lol. But I have had facebook for a while with my child on a profile. I wish you luck and keep up the good work. Your a great mom. Its good to hear you are concerned for your child.

I have 2 boys that wouldn't eat meat either.  They are now 8 and 4.  Neither one of them will eat steak.  The littlest one will tell me that he "no like that" before he will even try it.  I have learned to just let them eat what they will- no junk food allowed.  My 8 year old wears 8 slim with the adjustable waist in 5 times.  My 4 year old wears 4 slim with the waist in 4 times.  I can get them to eat fried chicken nuggets and they love cold ham off a salad bar.  But I will continue to put a few pieces of chicken on my 4 year old's plate even though I know it won't get eaten.  The older boy will eat meat now except steak but it took me a long time to get him to eat it.  Don't push it on him- he will eventually come around.
