My 20 month old boy keeps leaking through his nappies in the night

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some boy specific nappies for the nightime. My LO is 20 months and lies on his front, therefore he wee's in the front of his nappy and it absorbs it but can't spread it to the back of the nappy. When he wakes his nappy is full at the front but the back is still perfectly dry, his pj bottoms are wet and so is his bed. So I am really looking for nappies that are boy specific. I would change him when I go to bed but his nappy is virtually bone dry, and when he wakes because it is too wet then it is usually to late to try and get him back to sleep, although he is waking earlier than usuall.

If you know of any boy specific nappies then please let me know.

You might want to try a bigger size diaper for at night or see if your son is big enough to wear the Huggies Goodnights which are made for toddlers (one for boys and one for girls) and up that have problems staying dry at night. Do they still make the disposable liners that would go into cloth diapers to keep the kids dry longer? Haven't used those in almost 20 years so don't know if they still even exist.

I have the same problem with my son. The only ones that I have found to hold everything 9 out of 10 nights are Aldi's nappies.
I have tried huggies, pampers, babylove, all the supermarkets own brands and for us Aldi's nappies are the best.

Thank you for the posts... He has a 9 oz bottle just before bed and this is his main routine so I want to keep it as long as possible... Huggies boys pull ups are only boy specific for the pattern on the front, apart from that they are the same as the girls lol...
Tina, I will try and have a look at those in the shops today...
On a plus note, he didn't leak last night and the majority of his nappy was wet, which meant he rolled about lol...

I've been using babylove dry wave nappies. They're not boy specific but they're the best nappies for night time I've come across. My son has slept longer since I've started using them it's awesome. My son also sleeps on his front and pees something cruel.

What time do you cut off his drinks in the evening? You might need to make it earlier in the evening. Huggies makes a "boy specific" pull-up that might do the trick.
