My 3 week old has pimples/rash!?? Pls help.....
My 3 week old daughter has just recently (2 days) broken out in small, red pimple looking bumps over her forehead, eyelids, chin and around her nose!!! I have done a little searching on the internet and it says that it's probably 'baby acne' but i just wanted to ask other mums out there what they thought and if their child has/ or had the same/similar thing too.
Also, what you may have done to get rid of them or do they just go away on it's own?? Any advice on babies with bumps on their face is much appreciated.
Thank you ;D

Sounds like baby acne, cradle cap or heat rash.

There's nothing you can do really to get rid of them, and they don't worry bub at all. My son had them for about 3 weeks. As he was a newborn, we only bathed him once every 2 days, unless he had a rather messy nappy, but we washed his little bum and face each night with Curash baby bath. It's an oatmeal based bath, contains no soap, and leaves bub smelling like musk sticks afterwards lol. It was so gentle on his face and skin, we still swear by it. :)

YEP sounds like baby acne for sure! Don't worry, it will clear up. I have a four week old and she just broke out the last couple of days as well! My son had it at the same point when he was a newborn....it went away (in his case) in a couple of weeks or so...but it did seem to get better and then worse during that time~!

My second son had it bad, all over his face, for about a month. It's no big deal and it will go away without any intervention. You should try to keep her face clean, though. Wash it often with nothing more than a warm washcloth. She'll clear up soon!

i found calomine lotion helped but it may have just made me feel as if i was doin something rather than made them go any quicker.

Yup, they sound like baby acne. My son had this too, it'll clear up on it's own after a few weeks. best not to do anything with them tho...

Most probably milk spots, my son had them when he was a baby, never affected him in anyway. Just leave them and they will eventually clear up

My son had pimple like things on his face too and I asked a midwife and she said it is very normal and will just go away on its own. She told me that it is due to babies hormone levels adjusting after birth and also that some girls can even get a mini period.
I just kept my sons skin clean and well moisturised to stop it getting too dry and irritated.

Both my sons had that and the dr said they were milk lumps, dont know wat causes it but in my kids cases they got them when i stopped breastfeeding and the dr said possible cause is the fats and stuff in formula my second son got them really bad all over his face there's not alot you can do for it if its the same thing they will go away took my youngest who had it the worst about 3-4 weeks b4 they were completly gone.
Hope this helps a little.

hello i remember these all 2 well they may not look nice but it will b either milk spots (baby acne) or it could b a heat rash both of which will go away on there own. The milk spots will take longer to go away though it can be a matter of weeks. good luck hope all is is fine
