Had it now for 3 days, started giving her allergy medicine yesterday, Dr. said it looked like an allergy to something, she was checked for strep and ear infection. Does anyone know what it may be?

Could be Roseola. Its a viral rash and it just goes away. It can cover the face and the trunk of the baby, red and raised. If she is still acting fine appetite is normal it should clear up in 3-5 days. It is contagious though but not harmful.

my two children (at the same time) had what looked like chicken pox but only over the abdomen and bum area it just never made the blister and the doc said it was allergies it lasted a week and a half. allergy meds and a mixture that our doc had the pharmacist make kept them quite happy. The container says Aqua Dovate.

can still be strep a large percent of negative results are false negatives. usually the strept rashes are like a strawberry rash little pink bumps like strawberry seeds. If it is cold where you are it can be a rash from sensitivity to the cold, my daughter used to get and the dr gave her elidel cream for it and it worked. or if it is hot can be a heat rash.

it definitly could be an allergy to laundry soap. If you havent changed soaps recently, it may even be eczema.

My daughter had Roseola too. (as posted above) Went to help her dress, as soon as she lifted her top I noticed the red, bumpy rash. It is quite alarming, I remember! I took her to the doctors & she explained what Roseola was. It made sense to me that she had picked up a viral bug & had probably had a bit of a fever during the night. (my daughter was in daycare at the time, she some how managed to catch every thing!)
It does go away after a few days, it wasn't itchy & I think it bothered me more than it bothered her!

Could be something she ate or some medicine she took. Just make sure you check her after she eats or takes medicines.

Possible heat rash... it will come and go especially if it is in areas that are constantly covered and rubbed up against something like a diaper (my son gets it there sometimes) or in between the legs where the pants rub... if it is itches then it is something allergy related. Skin can become very irritated very quickly on a kid. You also may need to ask her if she has been putting on any types of lotions or getting into mommies "fun make-up stuff" or "the good smelly stuff" when you are busy... My sister had a situation where she was 4 and putting a lotion on her face that was causing her to break out really bad and my mom caught her one morning putting it on cause she thought she had dry skin on her face 24 hours after she stopped using it, the problem went away.

i swear by a &d. but it really depends on where the rash is at. if its in the private area than i would use a&d but if its somewhere else on the body i would use calomine lotion.

Yes, put some of that on her tonight, but still wondering what exactly caused it. Doctor kind of brushed her off, said it looked like an allergy, but also said it could be a viral rash. But she seems to be fine, eating well and still herself. So that is what keeps me from freaking out. Thanks for your suggestion.
