My daughter is 5 months old and she is pooping like every 2-3 days and when she does, its like rock hard peebles. Her doctor told me to give her prune juice. She gets juice and water everyday and still nothing. Anyone have any advice?

Ive been told not to give them stuff like laxatives to help them poop because they might get use to you helping them and they wont poop alone.. She is on babyfood but shes had pooping issues way before I started her on babyfood.. We switched formulas once and it didnt help..

My daughter had same problem i used 1tsp mineral oil to 4oz of water. It worked great for me.

Is she on solids? If so have you tried cutting back on them, if she's not on solids then I would look into switching formulas.

if you are giving her juice and it isn't working, you may need to get your child some baby laxatives. Keep her diet high in fibre (lots of fruit and vegies) as well and see how she goes. You can get tha baby laxatives over the counter at your local chemist. hope she's feeling better soon
