Too much antibiotics also run down the immune system, a pro-biotic should help with the effects of the antibiotics.
It could also be allergy related or a type of asthma after a bad infection....have you tried a homeopathy? there are may great therapists out there!

Try alternatives. Go to a Health pharmacy and explain the situation. See what they say. Try using a humidifier with cool air to help with any congestion.
Hope this helps.

My son had a persistent cough for about 4 months before the doctor heard wheezing in his chest and gave him medicine to prevent asthma and an inhaler. After the first dose of both, there was a noticeable difference... For the first time in a few months I wasn't listening to him cough at night. Now a few months later, the cough has not returned. So not sure if this helps or not but it worked for us.

I have to ask why they are giving her antibiotics? Does she have a chest infection? They should at least do tests to determine this if it has been going on this long. Antibiotics won't work if it is a viral infection.
Also have them test for whooping cough. Whooping cough doesn't present the same in older children as it does in infants, and is often just a persistent ongoing cough, and whooping cough needs very specific antibiotics.

Try tea tree oil on the soles of his/her feet! Sounds mad, but it works!
