My 8 month old has such a phlemy cough, and no temperature. His cough sounds horrible, and I think that is the reason he will not sleep threw the night. Does anybody have idea's of what I can do to help clear of the phlem from his chest?

Don't put it at a sharp angle, just an inch or so higher than the other end, even putting a pillow under the mattress will help.

Elfrieda, ive been told about inclining his crib mattress the only thing im worried about is him sliding down the bed

What Amy said, but also it helps to take the baby into the washroom, turn on the shower really hot and sit there in the steam for 10-15 minutes. It helps with congestion.
And if you have a pretty hard crib mattress, roll up a big blanket and stuff it under the mattress so it's inclined and the baby's head is higher than his feet, that'll help him breathe.

Go to the dr, there is nothing you can give her that's going to help but the dr can listento her lungs and make sure it's nothing more serious.
You can use a humidifier at night to try and help her until you get in at the drs. If she's congested you can also try a little vicks baby rub on the chest to try and help her breathe a little better.
