My 9-month-old son cries when I say no or stop.

My 9-month-old son is a very good kid. His behavior is great. But when I say no or that he can't touch something, about 50% of the time he cries. He still listens, but he cries. He doesn't throw a huge tantrum, but the crying lasts for about five to ten seconds (and he is an extremely loud kid whether happy or upset). I am worried that this will become a consistent behavior. When he is a toddler, I don't want him still crying because he is corrected. My ultimate goal is to be able to correct him and have him either just correct the behavior or to say okay. Will he grow out of this behavior, or am I going to deal with this into his youth? Is there something I can do or another technique I can employ to not have him cry? Should I even be worried?

He's just letting you know that he's not happy that he can't do what he wants. It's his way of trying to understand but it still "upsets" him that he can do some things. Make sure you don't react to the crying though. If he's getting any reaction from you then he will keep doing it but if you tell him no and he starts crying, just ignore it. He will soon learn that you are serious and crying won't get him any attention.
