My 9 week old doesnt always seem satisfied after her bottle, and is sometimes hungry again after 3 hours

oh and feed her every 2 hrs not 3 and make her last bottle for the day be cereal it will help hold her longer at night you'll get a couple of extra winks of sleep before you have to get up and make her another bottle

my daughter was the same way so i had to put her on cereal at 2 months. it depends on your babies needs the doc are prob gonna tell you not to do it but your mommy and listen to your baby she know better than any one heck i have 5 and they all ate cereal at 2 month if needed just dont make it thick and do rice ya know there digestive systems were not bothered by it but if thats the route you choose only do it like once a day in 4 0z bottles

My doctor switched my babies formula at one mongh and informed me to add a tbp of cereal to her bottle. Start cereal at 2 months. Some babies are just hungry! However, three hours is pretty long for that young of baby. My almost 7 month old eats 8oz every three hrs still while getting cereal. And 6 jars of food a day. Maybe start offering more each time. How many oz does she take?

NEVER give a baby that young water! You can really mess up their electrolytes and make them very sick. Feed your baby when he/she is hungry. End of story.

I also demand fed my now 7 month old. She has only started to sleep through the night this last week. She is still on demand feeding, minus the solid meals i am feeding her. I would not worry about routine at this point in time, and feed her when she is hungry, this is a very important time for her and every three hours is okay, it's how my little one fed for months.

At about 10 weeks they go through a growth spurt and then will start drinking more. As a breastfeeding mom, I demand fed as and when my daughters wanted. The increased demand would last for a few days and then they would drink less frequently again, but maybe would nurse a bit longer this time because they were now slightly bigger.

Feed baby when she wants it she needs the nourishment, by 3 months u can try pablem at bedtime with her bottle and she'll start sleepin through the night for ya

Both of my girls ate every three hours until i started giving them baby foods at 4-5months old.

my son wanted a bottle every two hours until he was about 3 months old, i think 3 hours is about normal, but every baby is different. I think 4 hours is a little long for a one and a half month old baby to wait though. If your baby is hungry, HE'S HUNGRY! feed the kid!

on the advice of my mother i started lengthening the time between feeding my son never realizing the damage that was doing until his 4 mo check-up when he was actually losing weight. now we are back to feeding every 2 1/2 and playing catch-up on his weight. Feed as much as they want, as often as they want. you should always have a little bit left in the bottom of the bottle that way you know they stopped eating because they were full, not because it was all gone.

when my son was 9 weeks old he ate every 3 hours anyway and now that he is almost 11 months old he just recently started waiting every 4 hours and that's because he's eating more solids to keep him satisfied. how much formula is she drinking? i would just feed her every 3 hours if that's when she's hungry.

I was giving child thin rice cereal mixed with formula when she was 3 weeks old before she went to bed at night and for a nap. It worked wonders!!! Use Dr. Brown's Y tip nipple. It was the best thing I ever did.

4-41/2 months is usually the youngest to introduce solids.you could try using a thickener in with the formula, or give a bit of extra water in with the bottle. a bit of water for formula fed babies are fine, it helps against dehydration and constipation. my boy was about 3 months old when his 150ml of formula wasnt enough so i started giving him a bigger bottle size (200ml) as per the formulas instructions. this helped him get to at least 4 hours before wanting more to drink, and was much more satisfied and happier after his bottle. hes since gone back down to 150ml after introducing solids

My friends DR instructed her to add a little rice cereal to her bottle @ 3mo!! Call an advice nurse or ask ur DR. But typically babys shoudent really be reciving foods untill 6 mo.

you do not give a 9 week old baby food or water....they are too young......and my daughter at 4-6 oz of formula almost every 2-3 hrs

For the longest time my baby would just snack. he would eat for about 10 minutes and stop and then want to eat again an hour later. He was never getting the last bit of milk that has the fat in it and makes him full so he wanted to eat again sooner. Some babies want more, it all just depends on the baby. If you think he's hungry after 3 hours then feed him again, he knows what he wants. But babies do not get baby food until atleast 4 months.

What seems generally recommended is to make sure they are crying because they are hungry. If they are hungry three hours is more that good time for them to be hungry again. Babies eat a lot. If your baby is a low birth weight or premature feed every two to three hours. Talk to your doctor if your unsure! Never with hold food, just be sure what they are crying about.

every 3 hours is normal. my son (and two of my friend's baby boys) are on 3 hour schedules, and my baby is 6 1/2 months old (theirs are both 9 mo. old). I've always heard that most babies are on this type of a schedule. My son sometimes eats every 2 1/2 hours. It sucks, yeah, but I don't think it's okay to let your child cry because they're hungry.
