There is no way you are fully healed, honey. Any medical professional will tell you that. It doesn't matter how quickly you heal, it is an absolute physical impossibility to be healed well enough to get yourself knocked up again 8 days after a c-section. As I said, that was just reckless. But congratulations, I wish you the best.

It sounds to me like you just want to hear what you want to hear, regardless of the facts behind it. I understand WANTING babies close in age, but the REALITY of it isn't always peaches and cream. When it comes to the health of your unborn baby and your own health, you need to have more sense and not just do what you "want." It's more about what's best for your kids at this point.

There's close together, and then there's reckless. As an adult, you need to be able to learn to tell the difference. Having unprotected sex 8 days after having a c-section is the latter. Go and see your doctor. Your uterus could cause you problems because it would not be fully healed, so you NEED to have this checked.

If you didn't want to hear it, you should have used protection. Seriously....... :\
You need to talk to your doctor. If your c-section is not properly healed, there may be problems, and now is the time you need to discuss your options, not later.

Not this soon after a c section. You could do more damage to yourself and put the life of your unborn child at risk.

Putting on a bit of weight is a lot better than rupturing your uterus and never being able to have more children. Waiting a year isn't going to kill you but could save your life.

Condoms don't make you put on weight anyway.

Possible? Yes. Dangerous? Extremely. There is no way your uterus is healed enough for it to be smart for you to be pregnant right now. Every doctor that I have experience with (either mine or friends of mine) wants there to be at least 2 years between the birth of one c-section child and a second child. Even in a vaginal birth for 'optimum' health is recommended to wait.

Yes, its possible to still have high hormone levels to produce a false test. You should get a blood test to confirm if you are pregnant or not.

Fine.... do whatever you want. Forget listening to women that have already had multiple babies.... some of them actually delivered BY c-section. What do we know anyway? Good luck....

Just in case anyone couldn't tell (since you can't read tone on the internet and not everyone here knows me)... my post is dripping w/ sarcasm. ;)

Sorry you don't want to hear it, but it IS a risk if you are, in fact, pregnant again so soon. Hopefully it is just the hormones from you giving birth and you are going to use protection for any future sex, but you really need to see a doctor soon to make sure. If you are pregnant they are going to need to monitor you and the baby VERY closely.

You aren't 'supposed' to give birth for 2 years after having a c-section as it puts you and your next baby at great risk for all kinds of potential issues.... including death.

8 DAYS?! Wow....

Anything is possible, but you will still test positive for up to 6 weeks from after giving birth even if you aren't having sex....

My doc said there aren't any false positives. False negatives, yes, because of how the hormone rises, but no false negatives.

I would definitely go see your doc. I know several women who got pregnant before their six week checkup. If you have sex anytime after giving birth there is a definite risk of pregnancy.

Probably not false positives. Go call your doctor. And Michelle is right, I agree on everything she said. You are a higher chance of rupturing your uterus when you fall pregnant so soon after a c section. Good luck, and call your doc.

It's very rare to get false positives but there could still be the hormones in your body from the pregnancy.

Go see your doctor.

The reason they usually want you to wait till your 6 week check up before you have sex is to make sure you have healed properly. I can't believe you were wanting to after only 8 days!!!! Next time make sure you use birth control.
