I feel your pain! My son is 2 and he is still not a very good sleeper. Don't feel like you're a horrible parent or anything. I've had people say "your baby should sleep through the night by the time they're 7 months old" but the truth is, some babies are just really light sleepers. My son wakes up at the slightest thing. Something that helps though, is having some kind of "white noise" going while he sleeps (I use a fan). That constant noise will help keep him waking up at ever little sound. And Doctor Sears does say that there is nothing wrong with letting your baby sleep with you. In fact, he actually recomends it. You'll hear a lot of people say bad things about that too, but the truth is, some babies just need lots of extra security and comfort. If these things don't work for you, that's totally fine, but they're things that have helped me out a lot with my restless sleeper:).
