I have a 3 week old preemie. I was able to give her the colostrum's the first few days after the c-section, but as the days have passed it seems as though the milk is starting to vanish. I want to breast feed and have been pumping every 3 hours. I barely get an ounce in a full day of pumping. I am starting to get sore. I have been drinking tea (Mother's Milk from Whole Foods), non-alcoholic beer in the morning, milk with cinnamon, etc. Is there anything else I could do to increase my milk production? or should I just give up? Please help.

I added just two pieces of toast to my breakfast and my supply increased. Sounds to simple ( that's what I thought when the nursing consultant told me) but it worked and was simple to do Good luck

Contact a lactation consultant. There should be one at the hospital where you delivered. Is your baby home with you now? Are you able to put your baby to the breast? That's the best way to stimulate supply, but I know it's harder with preemies. Also kellymom.com has tons of great information for breastfeeding mothers.
