My daughter has a weird rash all over her body.

It has no color and is barely noticeable unless you touch her skin. I don't know if I should bring this to a doctor's attention or if it could be something as simple as dry skin. It just showed up 2 days ago and doesnt appear to be bothering her at all. I haven't changed anything that we use such as soaps or anything. Any suggestions?

My daughter had barely noticeable spots all over her body, head to toe. She also had a 102-103 degree temperature for about 4 days prior to the rash. We took her to the Dr and she said it was Roseola, also known as Sixth Disease. They are only contagious when they have the fever. When the fever is gone then comes the rash. It's nothing real serious and they don't usually prescribe medication.

Alot of your baby washes, your detergents, and baby lotions! They do make unscented washes, lotions, and detergents for your baby. I have found some at the "natural" stores in my area or if you are lucky you may find some at your local stores. Just read the labels even on the "frag free" stuff....it will list in the ingredients if it has frag...

Just FYI until the rash stops calm down I would keep anything with frag in it off of those spots just to see if that my help too..Good luck!

What exactly does the rash look like? Any light purple or pinkish pin point dots or anything? My daughter had a rash like this and 2 days later was running a 104 temp. Come to find out it's a rash called rosiolla and it goes away in about 4 day. It's really not harmful just some kids get it when they are infants.
shes 3 now but nope no color at all but i will be keeping a closer eye on it though. was there any medication you were given for that or is it something that you just have to control the fever on and wait it out??

If i'm understanding u right, my daughter probably has the same thing. i believe it to be keritosis pilaris. both my husband and i have it so there was no doubt she does too. goose bumps without any color. i just keep lotion on her as much as possible. there's no cure, u just manage it. sometimes it goes away. best thing to do is ask ur doctor to be sure.

It may have been the frag in the sunscreen... I have to use the unscented lotion ( more expensive) for my son. As for the bumps I would try some aquaphor on them. It may just be an irratation that needs to be calmed. If that does not work then I would go see the doc....

Ask your Dr about it. My son has sensitive skin, so we now double rinse his cloths, use no softner, and use Eucerin aquaphor on the spots or you can use baby excema cream....When did it come on?...after some humid heat? and where is the rash?
i do believe it was after being in the heat for a while and actually now that i think harder i did put sunscreen on her that we had just bought. She has extremely fair skin and burns within 15 minutes. She has always had sensitive skin and I couldnt use anything but scent free ultra sensitive type products on her while she was an infant but she has seemed to grow out of it. I was thinking maybe it might have been a heat rash but i thought that was red in color. this rash is not colored at all and is the tiniest little bumps.. almost as if she has goosebumps all over that wont go away

How old is your daughter? There is such thing as the "Newborn Rash" which will just go away. There is also Baby Acne which will also go away on it's own. If it is dry skin, try some baby oil or lotion and give it a few day to see if it clears up.
well shes did have that when she was a baby but shes 3 now. I have tried lotion but its not helping it [yet anyways]

I would ask her doctor about it. My son has eczema and his started off as a red solid rash on his face one day at the end of winter. And ever since then he gets little spots of dry skin mainly on his arms and sometimes it is hard to tell he's got a spot unless you rub his skin. I would suggest changing your laundry detergent to ALL and see if her skin has maybe changed just enough that it's bothering her skin. My son has very sensitive skin where I can't use any cheap pull ups/wet wipes on him like Walmart's brand. I can only use a few skin products on him as well b/c he will get a rash so bad that he cries in pain.
