my daughter and I are close, she and I are dealing with the separatioin and distance while she is living in another state while, married and pregnant, any suggestions?

I think that as long as you speak with her regularly and constantly ask her about the pregnancy and give her your opinions and such that would help. It shows that you are interested in the pregnancy and the baby and you want to be there for her in a way that you can.
Maybe you can schedule a visit around the time she is suppose to have the baby so you can be there for the labour and maybe help out for a few days at home afterwards.

i live in florida and my mother who i'm close to lives in england. My mother played an active role through my pregnancy through skype. She still plays and active role in my daughters life via skype. As do my sisters.

thanks, Barb, yes it would be impractical to visit once a month she lives in the state of Washington, I don't have the financial resources that it would take to do such a thing

As far as being close when there is a physical distance, the internet is great for that, perhaps you could get her and you both a web cam, headphones and skype accounts so you can video chat with eachother. You can see and hear the things she needs for upcoming baby. Perhaps if you are able to make one trip, make it for the baby's birth.
Don't be an interrogator, let her be an adult and figure out things on her own and praise her when she has. Ask if there is anything she would like for you to do and then make suggestions "gift bags for the baby shower, buy the cake, buy the crib, send over a babies r us gift card" etc etc
Might also want to include the hubby in this as to not insult him into thinking that you think he can't care for his wife, that this is you wanting to give things to your grandchild and you can reassure him of the great job he is doing in taking care of your daughter.
