My daughter turns 13 this month and she wants it ti be "epic" her words lol! I want to make it as "epic" as a single mom on a budget can make it! I need ideas ladies please, she loves zebra print and wants me to decorate in zebra print and purple. I need some fun ideas for games as well as foods. She wants a hotel party and I was fortunate enough to have a family mamber who works at a hotel so i am able to use her discount! (yay) but games and keeping it interesting and fun....I need help! Any an all advise is much appreciated!!! thanks moms:)))

Zebra theme party is an exciting theme, we had this theme for my niece’s birthday last year when she turned 11. We made hanging pom pom decorations using tissue, black& white lanterns, black & white balloons and streamers, bunting banner using fabric in theme color. All girls were dressed in black and white and we dedicated a small portion of birthday area for nail art and girls got done zebra print nail arts, tattoo and this was a huge hit in the party as girls in this age love getting decked up. For food we baked a classic white 2 tier cake with black piping all over and topped it with a tiny zebra topper. It looked too adorable to eat, ummmm.. We bought some inexpensive zebra print cups and served vanilla ice cream in it, topped with Oreo cookies. And in a white tray we served pretzels, snip a tiny portion of the corner and dip it in white chocolate let it dry and add a piping of dark chocolate to make it look like zebra stripes. For favors cute zebra print accessories like hair clips and earrings and girls simply adored it.

Check out pinterest and www.catchmyparty.com. Tons of great party ideas. I especially love pinterest bc you can find lots of stuff to make using stuff youalready have in your home..or able to acquire cheaply.

First rent a small, but not too small, hotel conference room. Send out birthday invitations via email, and make sure the dress code is casual formal. (boys wear khaki and polo shirt girls wear party dresses (try lulus.com and go to party dresses) This is a dance party. have a small corner with a photo booth. (have cool teenagers un the booth) Make sure it is dark. and dont be inside the party. 13 probably want to grind, just being honest. Have a table with food like popcorn candy. chicken nuggets. sprite water. This will probably be the best party of the year

Makeover party? Cool movies? Pizza? Easy things that don't cost a ton of money. A camp out in the backyard sounds pretty fun too.
