Anyone out there raising a celiac child. My daughter has been tested twice and both times negative. Most of my family including myself are proven Celiacs. If she is eats gluten she is sick for days so she is strictly Gluten free. Wondering if anyone has a similiar story.

We have one child that reacts to all foods right now (with exceptionally few exceptions, such as Corn Chex, marshmallows, plain corn, unprocessed meats). He really eats very little, and is on EO28 Splash for all of his nutrition.

It's very common for people with Celiac's to test negative by blood test, for multiple reasons. The best test is an intestinal biopsy, as I'm sure you're aware, but even that will be negative if they've been off gluten for long enough (4-12 weeks). Our son will never test positive via a blood test for Celiac's, or any other allergy, as he's missing all of his IgA immune factors and is very low in the other 4. You can see a specialist and request further testing (such as antibody testing as we had to do), or reintroduce gluten and have a biopsy done, but it is invasive. If you have a doctor that is willing to prescribe the gluten free diet for school without being proven positive, excellent! It's not always the case.
